If I were to have a car, I would definitely like something like a VW Beetle (if I can fit into it, I'm so tall!). They always struck me as quite cute, nifty and nippy little cars. So hey, never overlook a little engine/car!

My dad and I went to see the car for a final walkthrough before I take possesion of it in about 10 days. Just need to insure and register it! Absolutely beautiful! I've always been a sucker for white wall tires and wire wheels, but putting them in red just gives it even more pizazz. Congratulations on the find!

If I had a car, I'd want a Ferrari Testarossa, not because I like fast cars or anything, but one of my favorite arcade games is Outrun and that car was in the game.

Does anyone know how to learn stick shift without having access to one? I've always wanted to learn how to drive a manual, but I don't have one and I don't think a rental company would approve of renting one and messing up the transmission while trying to learn.

For people in the UK you need to find an instructor who either drives manual or automatic.

I learned because my friend's had manual cars. Those friends learned by buying a manual and learning cold turkey. Not the textbook way, but it is one way nonetheless!

My ultimate car would be a Lamborghini Aventador. I have a passion for them. I have a Series I Land Rover to do up once I have restored my steam locomotive. I was taught to drive in it by my Uncle and I have had many trips out in it. It is a superb vehicle but needs a fair amount of work to get it back on the road. A new chassis is a definite and possibly a new bulkhead too. But definitely worth it to get it back to it's best.

I'm not sure if anyone here follows the collector car market. It's seriously staggering to see the trend of some high level cars, mainly post-war European sports cars. Jaguar, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and especially Ferrari are some marks where the best cars are in the tens of millions of dollars. Just a couple months ago, a Ferrari 250 GTO sold privately for $70,000,000. It didn't sink in how much that really was until I compared it to "The Scream" painting that sold for just under $120,000,000 in 2012. Some experts predict that we will see a Ferrari 250 GTO sell for over $100,000,000 in the next 5-10 years. One more is being auctioned off in a few weeks at the famous Pebble Beach auctions. If you guys ever come across one for under $50,000,000, buy it while you can and try to double your money .

In a similar fashion as above though with prices not quite as eye-watering, another Ford XY Falcon GT-HO sold for just over $1,000,000 a few weeks ago. From memory, this is the third one to do so in the space of about 7 years though they are far more commonly being sold at around $500,000, give or take a bit. I can somewhat understand the pricing of the 250 GTO though it is sadly out of the price range of most - even a decent replica would likely set people back a few hundred thousand. It does make me slightly happier though that the Falcon GT-HO was built from the same body as a Falcon 500

Apologies for plugging myself here! Last summer, I did a promotional video shoot with Lucy, my beloved antique Ford. I totally forgot about it, but actually stumbled across the finished thing on YouTube tonight. Here's me, with my crazy curly hair in the wind and my extra bass voice Enjoy the car, as well

My favourite car is the Volvo 240, it's a magnificent car and it works like clockwork most of the time. I like VW's cars too, especially the Golf Mk.II

Hi everyone. I'm very excited to announce that I'm (incredibly slowly!) building my second antique car: an early 1920's Model T! This one is a true basket case; I brought almost every bit home in the back of my Taurus (the frame was delivered by a colleague in his 1/2 ton a week later) I have started a thread at the Model T Ford Club of America forum here, if anyone would like to follow along. www.mtfca.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14696&p=111808#p111808Pending garage space, I'm hoping to have it driving before winter 2021. Ambitious, but doable with the right commitment.

One of my absolute favourite cars is none other than the good old Rover P6. Radical unibody design (inspired by another one of my all time favourite cars, the Citroën DS), pure grunt and performance from the V8 model, robust, practical, reliable, still usable in modern traffic, the first car to win the European Car of the Year award in 1964, synchromesh transmission, de Dion tube rear suspension, the lot. Just a true British bulldog on wheels!
Here's one I luckily came across a couple or so years ago in my local vicinity. What an absolute beauty!
