I got my Morris Minor up to 80mph the other day! I even overtook a guy in a Subaru Impretza. Boy, was he annoyed! It's been on the road for a month and so far, nothing has gone wrong. Although I never use it in the wet (all that wood doesn't come cheap you know!)

I would think any Edsel would be a car I'd like. However, an interesting feature I've heard of is push button transmission, as oppossed to a stick shift. Anyone else ever hear of this?

Dream Cars: So many, Ford Focus STi, Subaru Impreza WRX (saloon or new hatchback), Bugatti Veyron (not ideal for Shropshire's twisty roads ), Koeningsegg CCX, Caparo T1 & Toyota Aygo. EDIT (21st Nov 07): Passed my driving test at end of July and I've got a new car, a 1992 1.4L Renault Clio. However though she has been a troublesome car, broken gasket on the carburettor and now a catalogue of major electrical problems. So as soon as I get a job, I can start saving for a new car.

Well, my dream car is a muscle car, or a Nissan Sil-Eighty! My favourite car brands have to be Dodge, Chevy and Plymouth! Anyways, back to being realistic, maybe a Corsa would be nice!

I've had my license for about two months now and I'm driving fairly well.
As for dream cars, I'd have to say it would be a Hummer, the orginal not the newer style, and it would have solar cells on the roof and a large fuel cell unit under the hood or better yet a small RTG (Radioisotopic Thermal Generator) like the kind on spacecraft.
For now though I'm driving a blue '97 Lumina my parents inherated after my grandparents died. It's a great car, especially since it's in very good shape.

My dream car is a Chevy Avalanche. I fell in love with it the day I saw it.

I'm just hoping that the greatest vehicle I've ever driven is the one I start to build next month for my college course. A two seater speedster! And I'm looking forward to starting it.

I don't have a car although I have passed two different types of practical driving test, the normal one and a Lantra Proffessional 4x4 Off-road Vehicle in a Ford Ranger. My Dad is a driving instructor although I never get to drive his car as he moved out and lives about 4 miles away, although I am insured to drive my sisters and any RSPB car as I do a lot of work for them (hence the 4x4 certificate). Some good though without my own car. I'm happy enough though, the busses do what I need them to and I've got my legs.
By the way, how many of you with a 4x4 or would like one would use the 4 wheel high or low box?

Quite often. My Uncle and I do alot of Green roading and even though people (especially uneducated walkers and the 'so called friends of the lakes') don't realise they are still classed as a road some are in a very bad condition which only a 4x4 would get through. The low box is also ideal when competing in off road trials too. Many a hill has needed low box for us to crawl down so that we can negotiate the next set of markers. Not needed on the road unless it snows deep enough that first in high box is just a little too high. I'm used to low and high boxes because of my HGV licence.

Right now I drive a maroon Ford Taurus.
As far as dream cars go, I don't have one. Pretty much anything with decent gas mileage and runs well.

A Ford Capri would be ideal first cars for me, although getting a two litre or above engine as a first car would be hard to insure.
