Outside of Thomas, I guess you could say I'm a bit of a geek. I like playing video games, watching anime and a few internet shows. As for which games I play - I like a bit of everything. I like a lot of Nintendo franchises like Mario, Zelda and Pokemon, though these days I'm mostly a PC Gamer. ^_^

Its been over ten years since I initially posted in this thread, of course so much has changed and happened with my interests that where do I even begin. I mean aside from Thomas, which is steadily fading away now - minus the books and the first five to seven series' of the TV adaptation.
So here we go:
TV SHOWS:
Marvel's Agents of Shield (my current favourite TV Show) DC's Legends of Tomorrow Supergirl EastEnders Doctor Who Victoria
FILMS:
Star Wars The Marvel Cinematic Universe Pirates of the Caribbean
HOBBIES:
Girls Writing Swimming - Got back into that in 2012 on Doctor's advice following health problems (in which the initial suggestion was jogging but decided to go back to Swimming instead). Being a Supporting Artist on Film, TV, Internet and etc. (better termed as an Extra, which is very much become my Job now which I'm loving - just hate the early wake-ups). Surfing the Net Researching Astrology (more the characteristic traits of the signs than a frequent reader of the horoscope) Going to Concerts, Wrestling Shows and the Cinema Travelling
SPORT (watching wise):
Formula 1 Wrestling (mainly WWE: World Wrestling Entertainment)
MUSIC (listening wise, though I do write lyrics of my own ideas):
Heavy Metal Film and TV Soundtracks
BOOKS:
Astrology and Astronomy Mythology (started reading Joseph Campbell's Hero with a Thousand Faces and definitely had some inspiration come to me for my writing) Star Wars The Sword of Truth
GAMES:
PS1 and PS2 (I'm not really on the band wagon with the latest games and etc., music has really taken that position for me nowadays).

I have a number of interests that I like to persue in my spare time, or what I have.
Firstly, home life in general. Having two kids keeps me busy but you get used to it in the end.
Secondly I volunteer for two preserved railways and I am a fireman at both. It is great fun and I enjoy having a good day, excellent crew and keeping the pressure gauge hovering around the red line. Had the chance to fire some interesting engines too both industrial and ex main line.
Third interest is still railway related and it is my pride and joy. I don't believe you truly own a classical vehicle and I believe the same is true for rail traction. They demand so much of your time and efforts and I am starting to realise that now. And it is great!! I own a 15 ton Andrew Barclay shunting locomotive. It is in need of some serious repair and I have started to strip it down so that I can get on with it and get it overhauled and back up running. It was one that I remembered from its days at Carnforth and it is a pleasure to "own" such a wonderful little thing. Five others survive and four are currently running but mine is the odd one out of them all.
Fourth, music. If i like it I will listen to it, no matter who the artist is. Ed Sheeran is currently up there at the moment but also enjoying Andie Case, T Swift (mostly the older stuff) and then my two favourites are Meat Loaf and Bryan Adams. I did try and convince my wife to book tickets to Clubland weekend sesh at Southport in May. Cheap as chips in my eyes and worth the £150 ticket for the variety of acts that we used to go clubbing to back in the day!! Couldn't drink anywhere near the alcohol content I was did. Probably a good thing!
TV sucks. Since moving at the end of November last year, right up until now I can honestly say that I have watched the grand total of two programs in that time. It is no joke either. TV is just shockingly bad. I am currently sitting in the living room now but most of the time i am in my workshop or my garage. I find peace and it isn't with a remote in my hand. Saying that I do enjoy boxsets. I have a number of box sets of programs that I enjoyed watching on telly years ago, Ally McBeal, Dad's Army, Allo Allo, My Family along with some American box sets that I recently got and need to start watching. They are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (The 90s version) and The Real Ghostbusters. Both of these are complete boxsets and both from America. TMNT over here was called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and we only had about four seasons of it. I think there was actually 11 in USA and I have them now. That was why a lot of us were puzzled about Casey Jones character when the live action movie appeared over here. He does appear both in the graphic novels and the cartoon. Ghostbusters was another of my favourites and it is nice to have all the seasons on disc. Again, another show in which the UK didn't get all the seasons. So many of them will be great to watch having never seen them before. I also have a lot of Railway DVDs as well. Many are great, some are a bit dull so they are kept out of the way at the back of the cupboard!
Books, I do like reading, mostly railway related but also I read fiction too. Best series I have read recently is the Will Hill books called Department 19. Vampires galore and they need to be turned into TV series or five films. Such awesome writing with plenty of plot twists. Well worth a read. Don't think of Twilight and these. Twilight just doesn't compare!
I like my military history from 1914 to about 1954 but mostly centred around WWI and WWII. Aircraft being the main attraction to me and I have a few favourites when it comes to the knights of the sky, or should that be steeds?!

I too have my fair share:
Careers Definitely working with children! Seriously, I’m studying Early Years Education for my Masters Degree, and, when I was an English teacher at kindergartens in China, I always left my workplace feeling I had made a very positive difference in the lives of others!
TV Shows Doctor Who - especially David Tennant, though I also really like actors like Jodie Whittaker, Matt Smith and Jon Pertwee. Thunderbirds - that show in both its original and reboot versions (no, not that 80's one, the 2015 one) are simply FAB! Star Trek. OK, bit of a Trekkie side to me, though I prefer the more episodic ones to the serialised ones. Miranda - Miranda Hart is, what-I-call, SUCH FUN! Life on Mars - Shows how versatile John Simms is as an actor. Death in Paradise - I like a good police/detective show, and anyway, who doesn't love Danny John-Joules? My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Yes, I have a Brony side to me, and I just find characters like Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie hard not to enjoy!
Films James Bond - I await the next installment with great anticipation. Zootopia - a successful return to form for Disney, through anthropomorphic animals, while conveying a timely message about accepting others. The Greatest Showman - Those songs are ridiculously catchy! The Spiderman movies - simply because Spiderman is not a millionaire with a large weapons arsenal and full body armour, or a demi-god, or a cryogenically WW2 soldier with genetic enhancements, but simply an ordinary schoolboy with ordinary problems. As well as saving the world, he has to worry about homework, holding down a job, looking after his elderly aunt and keeping up his relationship with his girlfriend! This makes him, to me, a Superhero's everyman. Mary Poppins Returns - I love the songs, and also agree that this sequel was indeed worth the 54-year wait!
Books The works of P.G. Wodehouse - always put a smile on my face. The Sherlock Holmes stories - I love how enigmatic Holmes is, and the use of Watson's role as a narrator as part of Doyle's style of writing. Roald Dahl - his children's stories are timeless classics, and his adult stories successfully show how he is more than capable of writing about far more mature topics than Marvellous Medicines and Giant Peaches! Charles Dickens - I always feel as though I have been taken back in time to the very scenes in his stories. Beatrix Potter - her stories are always relaxing and soothing during particularly distressing periods. Anything to do with Railway history!
Hobbies Steam trains - a world without steam trains is a world not worth living in, to me! Modelling - Seriously, I am now thinking of doing a BRWS-style series of my own, using my own trains! Singing - especially musical theatre. Art - handy when it goes cap-in-hand with modelling isn't it? Dancing - particularly ballet. Skiing - that feeling of the wind rushing past you is so exhilarating! Trampolining - I feel like I am defying gravity - literally!

Thomas is a given, but it can't be overstated how much I love movies. From superhero movies to movies about angry guys. Star Wars, The Dark Knight Movies, the MCU, the Lord of the Rings, and Indiana Jones are some of my favorites of the top of my head. I also love LEGOs and comic books. I guess you could say Thomas and superheros are the two things I know most about.

Hi, I'm new here so, I look forward to making as many new friends as possible.
As well as loving Thomas, I also have interests in:
Anime/ manga Art, particularly traditional art like painting and drawing Trading card games (my favourite is Yu-Gi-Oh but I also play games like Shadowverse and Pokémon) Music Crafts, I'm a cross stitcher and love making cards for special occasions. Gaming, right now my Switch has caught my imagination mostly (Animal Crossing)
Thomas has always been special to me through the years and has been a comfort during the difficulty that the last year has brought.
