Depends how you define "fears". If you mean fears as in phobias, as opposed to deep-seated existentialist-type fears that keep a bod awake at night, my main one would have to be heights. Can't stand them- I even get nervous standing on chairs.

Hights especially if there are no hand rails or other supports. Any creature that can be poisionous or deadly (e.g. insects, spiders, snakes, Jellyfish).

Heights, flying cockroaches ( I can't explain it. I can handle the non flying ones not sweat but the flying ones no) and spiders.
EDIT : I just killed a flying roach that flew into my room.

I suppose the only real fear that I have is talking in front of a large group of people that I don't know.... but I'm trying everything to combat this though. Some people suggest imagining everyone in their underwear.... but that just makes it worse! As for those who suggest imagining them naked.... no comment.

Lol! I hope you find a girlfriend, Chris... I'm actually looking forward to dying alone Well, one thing I'd have to be scared of is hearing something which will make me scared of something common. When I first heard about the Bloody Mary rumour, I never went near a mirror again for two whole weeks - bad when every last room in my house has a mirror.

Things I'm afraid of: Being alone all my life Receiving bee stings Getting banned from SIF Being beaten up I'm afraid of these things, too, for the following reasons: - Only at night, am I all alone. I start seeing things when all the lights are off and I'm the only one awake (I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night). - I've never recieved bee stings for all my life as far as I know. - It's so obvious why I'm afraid of this one. - My older brother has beaten me up several times, and then said it was because I was naughty, even though I haven't done anything that was naughty so that I would deserve that. Here are some other things that I'm afraid of: - Recieving an after school detention, as I haven't recieved one of those all my life, either, although a teacher nearly gave me one - Getting bad thoughts (or good thoughts gone bad), and not being able to get them out, no matter how hard I try (happened to me several times) EDIT: What do you think of those fears?

The bad thoughts thing isn't unusual. I know when something's really upset me, I find it difficult to stop thinking about said thing until it's pretty much dominating my thoughts. For instance, a couple of weeks back something really bad happened to me, one of those things that just totally shifted my perspective on the world. And it was very, very depressing and, annoyingly, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Everything reminded me of it. But then I basically thought to myself, "Well, old son, you can either sit around and wallow in self-pity OR you can do something to take your mind off it." And so that's what I did. And so the past week has been one of the most successful and productive I've ever had. The key is to keep busy.
Well, I suppose I might as well talk about my actual fears now. They are:
1. Being helpless to prevent bad things from happening. There are few feelings more hideous than the knowledge that something awful is definitely going to happen and there is nothing I can do about it. I think this is partly because I tend to be a bit of a control freak in my own life- I'm a firm advocate of the "if you want a job done properly, you've got to do it yourself."
2. Being alone. The idea of being alone in the world fills me with a profound dread- I even get uncomfortable if I don't see my friends for a week.
3. This one is really weird, but- becoming unreal. This requires some explanation. I tend to be regarded as a fairly flamboyant, eccentric, humorous person and the problem is that people often assume that this is the sum total of my personality. What that in turn means is that people tend to make assumptions on that basis, and treat me accordingly. The big fear I have is that some day I could end up being exclusively regarded in those terms. If that makes any sense.

Automatic flush toilets. Seriously. Gah...I know what you mean. I hate those. I'm personally not afraid of much. I can't name any big fears off the top of my head, except for really big fish, like eels and crap like that....

Ok, everyone is going to laugh... I have only one true fear, and that would be weather. Yes, I can't stand the weather. The Weather Channel is about the only thing I watch, just to be sure that nothing adverse is going to catch me unawares. If I get one second's worth of thought that there might be severe weather, it's off to watch TWC and into the basement for hiding. It doesn't matter if the forecast is thunderstorms or bright sunny days, I still have to be prepared for anything that might signal something severe. I hate summer, because of the increased risk of thunderstorms/tornadoes/floods/high winds/hail, and the like. Because of where I live, pretty much the one weather event that I don't fear are hurricanes - which is odd, since they cause the most devestation in the country (USA). Personally, I'd rather it be cold and snowy year-round, then warm and sunny. In the event that my area gets put under a Weather Bulletin (Advisories/Watches/Warnings/Updates), I go into full panic mode. Well, that depends on the Bulletin - Severe Thunderstorm Watches/Warnings get me the most wound up, since they tend to happen more often then Tornado Watches/Warnings. Things like Snow Advisories/Warnings don't get me as worried. Ok, I think I've said enough - you all must think I'm nuts
