I scored 20. Bit of a surprise, as I was expecting maybe 4 or 5 higher, but I think I answered as truthfully as I could. Like Davey said, one or two of the questions were a bit difficult to answer. It's quite opened my eyes seeing the wide range of scores here, what with a few non-diagnosed people discovering they may have a case. I haven't been diagnosed myself, but I'm tempted to get it checked out now... I can be more talkative after two beers... Heh, funnily enough I'm the same. I don't drink regularly though - got to be careful not to become over-reliant on that sort of thing.

Took the test last night and scored 19. Kinda surprised at how low it seemed (to me anyway), then again the questions were tricky to answer. I was dead talky when I was young but nowadays I'm a chatterer when I find the chance!

Score of 17 here. Dispite having ADD and being an evil genius, looks like I'm normal here Like any internet test, it's a fun little thing... I don't think it's an absolute verifiable thing saying "ONOES I'S GOT TEH AUTISM", but I will say it asked some very interesting questions (questions I didn't think would be asked to determine autism). For the members here who took this test and got a little paranoid, you might want to check out the base homepage that the internet test is hosted on. Not really a medical website. It's best to talk with a doctor if any of you are serious about a valid diagnosis.

13. wow, loaded questions or what? to what extent are we all actors? If I admitted to half of that, as I might honestly, at work, I would not have a job. strong prejudice in the world of business!

Yes - 31! More autistic than I would have imagined. Thought it would have been higher than that, though... I'm certainly one who shuns social occasions... hell I'm even scared to death of going into town if there's the chance that I see (or be seen by) people I know.

To be honest, I'd trust that test to give a reliable diagnosis about as far as I'd trust a chaffinch to manage my debt. The autistic spectrum is extremely subjective. For instance, an inability to make friends can be a sign of Asberger's, but so can the ability to make friends very easily - a person with Asbergers is usually aware of their social awkwardness and therefore can often compensate for this.

Last night, I found out that my dad is writing a report on Asperger's Syndrome. I overheard him mentioning Wilbert Awdry and the connection that people with Asperger's have with Thomas.

Yes, I do both have autism & 20% of aspergers syndrome, and thought to let you know I do have it, so here are 15 reasons about it. 1. I am upsest into trains like Thomas & tugboats like Ten Cents & Sunshine and Theodore Tugboat. Also cruise ships & airliners. 2. I talk to myself strangly more often when I memorize my favorite shows & movies. 3. I easily cry when everybody ticks me off, when everybody gets angry at me, & when I get lonely sometimes when I was at school. 4. I love to make clay, draw & paint TUGS, so I'm very creative on art. 5. I'm usually funny all the time. 6. I say swears when I get ticked off too. 7. I love to listen all my favorite movies from the past like the 1980s repeatly (like more than 5 times). 8. I love to daydream about Thomas the Tank Engine, TUGS, Hayao Miasaki's anime, & sometimes my friends from my school. 9. I'm sometimes greedy on Thomas & Friends HO Bachmann merchandise. 10. I love filmmaking. 11. I always enjoyed my life during the day at school & summer vacation & during the late night when I stood up during the weekends, holidays, day-offs, sick days, & mostly summer vacation. 12. I always have trouble on school learning, so I always asked help. 13. I could easily get scared when I think about getting the flu. 14. I sometimes liked to get silly & serious during my moment times. 15. I always am a computer geek, who'd loved to make movie posters on my own, watch every one of your videos from YouTube.com, hanging out with my classmates on Facebook.com, surfing around Ebay.com, watching music videos, & talk to my new friends & make replies on threads on here! So thank you very much for reading my list of 15 reasons why I have autism & a little bit of aspergers, I hope you all understand at that. So God Bless, & peace out SiF members!!

I have Asperger's Syndrome. I was originally diagnosed as a child with ADHD, but in the last I don't know how many years, I've been diagnosed with AS.
Edit: My score was 36.

I'm an aspie, don't need a test to say that, I was diagnosed in grade school.
I have a huge fixation on anything that moves, cars, trains, etc, and as a young man, I had trouble coping. Now, I'm 22, in college, and am actually doing....well, as well as any other young engineering student, I guess.
It all comes down to figuring out how to approach a situation. with that done, I can pretty much conquer anything.

Why do people always have to shorten words or make up silly nick-names. I'm not austitic or have Aspergers. However, I was born cross-eyed and did have eternal bleeding along with other serious conditions. I don't see how a test helps. If you know you're austitic, you are, and if you're not, you're not. If people are really that curious, go to the doc, not the internet.

Your score: 190 - 10 = low 11 - 22 = average (most women score about 15 and most men score about 17) 23 - 31 = above average 32 - 50 is very high (most people with Asperger Syndrome or high-functioning autism score about 35) 50 is maximum Well I'm happy with 19, I'm a strange one. I always class myself as black or white, either full regulator wheel slippin crazyness or just simmering with cylinder coks wheeshing, too introverted or to extroverted, rarly a happy medium. Too quiet or too loopy, you get the picture. I'm an extreemly anlytically minded guy, i see the subtle things most dont in everything, social or not, detail etc. When it comes to a social group my state depends on the company, If I'm with a bunch of domineering nasty types I'll most likely be quiet and boring, I have no desire to be 'The King', much better to just get on with everyone, unless I get pushed too far, I won't stay quiet for ever, nobody likes me when I pop, I bottle everything up . If I'm with decient people then I can be more of my true self, the more easy going the company, the more 'Me' I'll be, and usually that's abit on the loopy and random side, but yeah I adapt to my enviroment rather than try to adapt IT. As much as I notice nearly everything subtle, I feel that others often see me and think 'what a bonehead', lots of things about myself I don't like as I'm sure we all have some. I know at times my eye lids make me look somewhat slant eyed and that makes others think I'm in LOO LOO LAA LAA Land, but this isn't so! I'm very nervous of social events and new people usually, and I can spend alot of time by myself, I often like that, modelling etc, no one to bother you. That's why I like it about 5am (not that I bother t get up then much) The world is quiet, the air is fresh, it's like your the only man there, bliss! I've taken this as abit of an opportunity to express myself, if you've read this far well done, you've won a gold fish you didn't fall asleep!

I got a 25, so I'm above average. I'm not bothered about it though, even though I am really, REALLY into trains and Thomas ancd I like to spend alot of time on the computer.

Just took the test and scored a 24, slightly above average. I'm not to bothered by it though, as I've been diagnosed with ADHD since I was 4, which is especially early for that sort of diagnosis.
And like many people have said before me, it hasn't changed my outlook too much.

I'm fairly sure I do not have Autism or Aspergers, but, out of interest, I took the quiz and scored:
23. So only just above average. Thinkin about it, I do have the odd quirks such as I don't like certain types of food touching, mainly so that juices from something doesn't run into something that's supposed to be dry and makes it soggy!
I am a keen writer, but it's never really struck me as a symptom of being Autistic or anything similar. I've written stories since a VERY young age.
I am very shy, and sometimes find it awkward talking to new people, but other times I tend to just sort of click with someone.
I tend to notice and pay attention to details, but that's just me. I like to be organised, and make sure I'm getting everything right, or as it should be. I don't get easily distracted, but multi-tasking probably isn't a strong point.
I like routines so I know what's going off and what I'm doing, but I don't get upset or annoyed if that changes.
That's about it really that I can pick out!

My psychiatrist recently told me that he suspects I have Aspergers, and he recommended a specialist friend of his who could confirm it. I have yet to make an appointment with him, but I plan on it once I become less busy.

Having had a careful read through this thread, I might as well come clean and admit to having Aspergers Syndrome as well. And as for my opinion of it, I'm actually very pleased to have it indeed nowadays, with the pressures of full-time education off my back! I like to think that it's having Aspergers that has really identified the personality I have. I mean I've always been brought up well and taught good social etc values but... I think having Aspergers has made me more...acutely aware, let's put it that way, of how these values affect us and so, with it, I doubt if I'd be quite as particular about good behaviour as I must admit I am. There's a great many other things my Aspergers has done for my nature. In fact, one of those things would probably include the fact that I can get a bit complicated and even waffle on. I think others on this forum may have noticed this through my long-length posts - I desperately attempt to be concise, ladies and gentlemen! And for anyone else who had Aspergers, I won't deny that life with it can be a hard business. It certainly felt that way for me on odd occasions. However, you've nothing to be ashamed of whatsoever. Especially if you've had it for most of your lives. Anyway, I'll not bore you all with talk about myself - let's hear others give their opinions on the subject. Warm Regards, MRHloco

Warm Regards, MRHloco I think I may have mentioned somehwere in this thread that I too have Asperger's Syndrome, though I wasn't diagnosed until I waas about 10 or 11 years old, but my parents had an inkling that I did suffer from it. As far as I am concerned, I think I am starting to accept it for what it is. Sure I'm vastly different from other, but so what? Many tell me that difference is a good thing and I agree. I just think to myself 'Well I have my eccentricities, but I think they and Asperger's have made me who I am and I can be no different really'. Not that Aspergers has stopped me recently, I am starting to build up a good social life and I have already made some good friends and activities this year alone. I think my advice is to just keep thinking forward and things will be alright! EDIT: 500 Posts Yay! ;D
