I just saw the trailer for the new Super Smash Bros., and I must say I am impressed, by the graphics and such, but one thing I'm furious about is the fact that some loser from Metal Gear Solid is in it. It's good to see Pit, Meta Knight, and especially Wario (My favorite VG character of all) in it, but Zero suit Samus just seems kinda like a clone of Samus which we don't really need. However, if I ever get a Revolution (Not A Wii or Wee) I will buy it.

Does anyone remember the old 'Shining Games?' These were good RPG's, Shining Force III, for the Saturn was the best IMO

Has anyone played "Age of Empires III" yet? I want to know if there are any secret codes(codes that increase food, wood, gold, stone and create secret weapons etc).

I've never played Driver: Parallel Lines yet, but I'm sure it's good! I must admit I was very concerned about this game before I got it, I simply can't imagine a Driver game without Tanner. Though I must say the game is undoubtably one of the best in the series, I've finished it and I don't want to give away the ending but I think the hero of the original trilogy has a cameo at the end...

Having watched a few trailers for upcoming games on the Wii, I am gonna go through Hell in the process of saving up for one (unless I can pester my parents to buy me one), but the wait will most definately be worth it. The games look absolutely sweet. I absolutely cannot wait to play them. The same can be said for a few upcoming releases on 'Cube and DS as well.

Are there any games of Shining Force on current day consouls like the PS2 or Gamecube? There are apparentley two for PS2. Shining Force Neo, and Shining Tears. I've never played them myself, but there's some information here- www.shiningforcecentral.comThere's also Shining Soul, Shining Soul 2, and Shining Force: Ressurection of the Dark Dragon for GBA. But these arn't as good as the original Shining Games. This is manley because Camelot, who originally made the games stopped stopped doing them, when they finished Shining Force III. Camelot went on to create the Golden Sun games, while Sega made the more recent Shining Games.

Thanks for the info Truro. Might look for them later on this year. I never had a Sega Saturn so I will be hunting for the PS2 and GBA versions. PS2 versions may take some time as that site you put up didn't display anything about the UK's release dates yet.
I bought Pokémon Pinball the other day. I got it for £6 with out boxing and packaging. It plays fine and I have been playing on it a lot.
Has anyone played on Pokémon XD Gale Of Darkness on the Gamecube? If so what is it like? And would you recomemed buying it at all?

To be honest, I've been a Nintendo fan all my life and I'm furious that Snake is in there. If Nintendo doesn't use guns 'n stuff how is he going to attack? After doing some research, I found the only reason why Snake is in it is because whoever created Snake is a friend of Mr. Miyamoto, and he begged for Snake to be in it. On another note, if that (Insert Montage of rude words here) Krystal is in it......

I've also been a lifelong Ninty fan, but TBPH, I don't really care toward the fact that Snake will be appearing in it, as I know that I don't have to play as him (I probably will at one point, but just the once), and I most likely won't because I'm not an MGS fan And at least all the Nintendo favourites are still in there. And that's all that matters.

It may seem unbelivable, but I totally rock with the Ice Bros. I win almost all the time! Once, when I was at Philly Classic (which, sadly, does not exist anymore. I'm so sad about that, I'm compelled to [glow=red,2,300]use the glow feature[/glow] and add the sad smilie in there too. ) there was this SSBM tournament there. When I participated in a exibition match, I came so close to winning. Later, this nerd (Who had been watching me) came up to me and said that "The Ice Bros. were one of the cheapest characters in the game.", but said I was the best person he has ever seen use them. I lost the first match. Two of the guys tried to run off and hide, leaving the guy using Gannondorf to come after me. Damn Cheaters!

Well, thanks to my sister and eBay, I have FINALLY manage to get the last Klonoa game (the last one to be released globally, that is. The REAL last game is only available in Japan). I'm so chuffed! ^_^

Has anyone ever played Mafia: The Game. It's awesome!
It's setting is in the early thirty's. You are Johnny, the Taxi Driver. Well, you were. You are telling your story to the Cheif.
I won't spoil it to those who haven't played it yet, but...
In the first mission, you are a taxi driver, on break. A car crashes nearby. A man names Sam creeps from behind the building. He mutter a few curse words. He gestures his now-injured friend Paulie. They pile into the taxi.
Your goal is to get away from the gangsters. Lose the trail so Paulie doesn't get killed. (The gangster's primary target.)
Free Ride is also awesome. You can choose from all the cars in the game if you beat it 100%. You can drive around freely either in the city, or on the countryside.

Hey kids, guess what time it is? It's RANT TIME!!one!!bagels!1!!
Now, I'm very disappointed in Ninty. Lately they've been doing everything wrong. As of late, they been sticking Mario in all sorts of pointless sports games where Bowser Doesn't ever do anything, and even in the things that they've done right (I.e Both Superstar Sagas) Bowser has been downplayed as the villain. He starts the game as being the villain, but then another one takes over, Like Cackletta, and the Shroobs.
Even in a game that amazed me beyond belief (New Super Mario Bros.) had one huge flaw. BOWSER JR.!! I cannot understand why Nintendo never bothers to put the REAL Koopa kids in their games anymore. On Nintys message boards they seem to very popular with the fans, so why don't they use? Isn't the first thing all great company's learn is to "Give the people what they want?" He's a bland, flat 100% useless character, where the original Koopa kids are all bursting with interesting personality, yet Ninty can't be bothered to use them.
Another big issue is the new Super Smash Bros. Game. Nintendo is no longer acting like the original, unique company that they once were back in the 80's and mid 90's. Now, for the new Smash Bros. they've been forced to resort to old marketing techniques, such as including Snake. The only reason they did that was to attract fans of MGS and get them to buy a Wii. Now so many people are jumping on the bandwagon just because he's in it. That's not like Nintendo. Their fanbase is one large, dedicated one, that know it would never do something like that. I'm very sorry to admit it, but lately Nintendo has resorted to something I loathe in video game companies. Sex appeal. That's right, lately Nintendo has been using the most lowbrow trick in the book to sell games. In Starfox Adventures they had Krystal be their sex appeal, and now in the new Smash bros. game they're using Zero Suit Samus to sell it. I had lot's of trust in them that they'd never use the most underhanded technique there was to sell their stuff.
My biggest problem of all is not Nintendo related, but video game players in general. Sadly nowadays, the ESRB rating seems to be the judge on how "Cool" the game is. The higher the rating, the better it is, by most peoples standards today. Most people don't seem to care that Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Pokemon, and Megaman games are challenging and fun, they seem to instantly toss them aside just because of the "E" rating. I've heard reports of 6-year olds playing Grand theft Auto!! How could anyone let their kid play a game like that?! That game is probably the most sickening, sadistic thing I've ever seen in my life! How people could get their kicks from that is just awful. To quote Gordon, Henry, and James: "Disgraceful! Disgusting! Despicable" Not only that, that "Bully" game that's coming out by the same company is also just sick. Video games these days are run by Blood, Sex, and Gore.
It's sad to think, but video games these days have gone awry from the innocent, fun entertainment source they once were, and even the company I've had the most faith in seems to be leaning to that path. I seriously hope they can try to do a better job in the future. Back in the 80's and early 90's, you didn't play video games. You played "Nintendo". Now, the game market is more popular than ever, with most people buying "M" and "AO" related games, and theres almost no hope for the company that still managed to sell incredible amounts of "E" rated games.

He starts the game as being the villain, but then another one takes over, Like Cackletta, and the Shroobs. Yeah, but when has Bowser ever been the main villain in a Mario RPG? Besides, those are usually handled more by second person parties than Nintendo's departments, so you can't entirely blame the big N for that. You've explained this is a rant, so I shall forgive your usage of opinion as fact...for now. I will point out though that all the kids were featured in Superstar Saga, so at least they've been used since their last game. I disagree with you on that one. Think about what Smash Bros. is about. A bunch of Nintendo characters in a fighting game. SSBB will still be the same type of gameplay you're used to, it's just it will include a non-Nintendo originated character. I think Nintendo advertising will focus more on the game rather than the fact it has Snake in it. If you thought Krystal was sexy, that's entirely your own business. Although I can't say I've noticed any such 'tricks' in recent Nintendo media. Yeah, you could argue Zero Suit Samus, who personally I don't find attractive, but what makes her inclusion more of an attempt at 'sex appeal' than say, Zelda or Peach? It's sad to think, but video games these days have gone awry from the innocent, fun entertainment source they once were, and even the company I've had the most faith in seems to be leaning to that path. I seriously hope they can try to do a better job in the future. Back in the 80's and early 90's, you didn't play video games. You played "Nintendo". Oh ye of little faith. Come on, as long as there's need for innovation and fun games in the market, then Nintendo will stick around. Just accept that the gaming industry in general needs to be all inclusive, ranging from the cute and innocent to the grim and gritty. It's an entertainment business, like books and films, and they need to satisfy everyone in order to succeed. But they'll still provide the games you like, so don't worry about it.

Well, I did say it was a rant. I just needed to vent my frustration in an opinionated manner. Oh ,and I do NOT think Krystal or Zero Suit Samus are sexy though I've seen plenty of people who think they are. I hate both of 'em as much as I hate Emily!

Yay! *Claps* I love rants! Nothing like an angry emotional post to start a conversation! Sex appeal has been in videogames since the beginning of time. IMO, Nintendo was at it's worst in Soul Calibar 2. Samus Zero suit isn't terribly bad. I don't have a problem with that compared to all of the other problems with SSBB. Wario. He's a cool character, isn't he? He probably should have been in SSBM. I just can't stand that fart attack. How stupid is that? In the trailer you can Mario doing some sort of Dragonball Z-esque attack after getting a little pellet sort of item. That is beyond stupid. And why Snake, Pit, and Samus Zero Suit? These characters are just random. I hope they have a lot of playable characters if they have such off the wall ones as these. As for M and AO-rated games being popular, I agree with your statement. I'm proud to say that I play "Lego Star Wars" and that I actually admit it to people. M-rated games are over-rated.
