I got lots, so just to say the ones for SIF,
To try and become a "really useful memeber" like I was in the past. And to create or do something that no one else can do or copy.

I'll give you a more detailed account of my ambitions... At the age of 16 (16 months away), become a volunteer on the Ravenglass & Eskdale railway, at first as a guard, but perhaps then as a relief diesel driver. My Mum says that she'd buy me driving lessons for my 17th birthday, which wouldn't be too bad. I'd only want a little car, one that had good fuel consumption, I'm a sucker for environmental issues. My 18th birthday present would probably be a car, or just a wee pressie from Mum and Dad between the birthdays, provided I pass my test. Then, once my A-levels are over, I would take a gap year, during which I would attempt to summit all 214 Lake District fells covered by Wainwright in his guides to the Lake District. After my gap year, I'd probably enrol in a fairly-nearby university, I think Lancaster is the closest, at two hours' drive away, and take a degree in some form of Geography. After that? Well, your guess is as good as mine.

Came up with a new ambition: Go to University, get Bs, Cs and Ds in everything, then waste it all by becoming a clown.

My ambition is to be an actor/writer/comedian and to be placed in the famous comedians's list between Stephen Fry and Graeme Garden

I wish to become a Chemistry / Science / RE teacher (and I'm 2 out of 5 years there), then eventually do further study to get my PhD in Education and one day ... one day be able to get into the VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessement Authority) and change the VCE for the better. Coz right now, as many Year 11s and 12s here from Victoria will know, the VCE can quite rightly suck.

Life ambitions, eh? ;D Well, I have several, with no definite decision as to what to do first: - Volunteer on the Talyllyn Railway - Live in England - Go to college at either Oxford, Cambridge or York - Meet Christopher Awdry - Form a true video production company based on that of DBA Productions - Climb Snowdon Mountain (err. . .maybe ) - Get into a local college a few years early (Wait a sec. . .I have already done that! )

My life ambitions. I have several, but here are my top ones. First, I want to try to get through High School and at least PASS through it to qualify as Uni Material. With alot of hard work and some effort, it'll all pay off. Second, I want to try and get a job. I'll really need money to buy all the things I want and to try and pay for my own home. Without that, I'll be nothing! Last, I would like to live out my dreams as an author, TV producer, music producer, director, musician an all that good stuff. ;D

...as many Year 11s and 12s here from Victoria will know, the VCE can quite rightly suck. Ohhhh yesss! As for my life ambition...I'm not sure. Sure, I'd like to live a good life, with a nice job, nice girl etc. But I don't have any true ambitions. However, my dream job would be an author (or writer of some sort; TV writer, movie writer even...). I'd love to be able to write entertaining, gripping volumes which people can identify with the characters and their feelings, and hence learn from their mistakes. Without making them too moralistic, of course A voice actor might be an interesting job too. I don't have a huge range of voices, but I do enjoy displaying my talents in the area.

Well you know, having a huge range of voices isn't always necessary-- there are many famous voice actors with basically only one voice they use, and most of them are great because that one voice is so unique: Alan Reed (original Fred Flinstone), Sterling Holloway (original Winnie-the-Pooh), Don Francks, and many others.

Originally it was being a engine driver, but preferably on a preserved line. Now it's to be a British Touring Car driver

Now I think of it, I might try for a rank of Drama Teacher/Lecturer. That, so I'm told, is one of the better paid jobs within the Drama/Performing Arts circle.

I always wanted to be an engine driver when I was younger. It had to be steam though. Thankfully I've started firing on a preserved line so I'm a step closer. I did go for an interview with Virgin Trains when I was 19 for a trainee train driver. Alas, even though I had passed all the exams (100% for the multiple choice questions) I was too young to continue onwards. The very next year I tried again for the same position. Unluckily another company had a drivers strike and most of them probably applied for Virgin because they decided not to take on any trainees. Since then I've not really been too sure of what I really want to do until I started doing engineering at college and it is fab. So thommob1987, you race the touring cars and I'll fix 'em!

What I'm thinking for my life is to be either a commercial airplane pilot, a movie director, or a visual effects designer for movies. But really, I'm not thinking about getting a car, because I definately won't be focusing on driving when my mind is full of stuff. But anyways, hopefully one of those careers come true, so that way I can approve that I can do one of these jobs for my future!!

I'd like to be able to make money doing something I actually enjoy. Preferably out of my cartoons. I'm partway there, having recently won a contract to produce some cartoons for a new company, but there's a long way to go. Read FlyingScotsman's post, but pretend I wrote it. Done and done. As for me, I would like to complete high school, and go to a college with a major in Literature. I have a born talent for writing, The Rev. Awdry and SiF's own Eliot Anderson inspired me to write, I thank both greatly. I really wish to move the UK, preferably Wales, and live and write there. I wish to work on a Heritage Railway line as well. As FlyingScotsman said, I would like to paid for something I enjoy. You only have one life on this Earth, and quite frankly, who wants to wake up every day and do something they Loathe?
