Thinking about this earlier today, what is you're current Goal in life?
Mine would have to be the never ending rant about Owning a Steam Tractor, just one day, I would love to be able to Drive and Run my very own Engine, running it up the Great Dorset Playpen. Stoking, Cleaning, the whole job. Not getting dragged off by Parants who are bored and want to get home. But feeling what it is like, to own you're own part of British History.
So what are yours?

Well, becoming the boss of the Ordnance Survey would be nice. Just working for them would be fine with me... as long as I get to draw maps - lots of maps! Working on the Ratty is another of my ambitions! I think some may know what another of my goals may be.

Realistically, I've got another two years before I can go for the ambitions I want to fulfil.
One would be to complete this degree I'm doing with a decent grade at the end of it. After that I intend to do a bit of travelling. I've already got a few grand saved up right now, so a big overseas trip is probably likely to be on the cards in Summer 2008. Then after that, probably settle into a social work position when I decide to begin using my degree.
On a more ambitious level however, I intend write a decent novel and get it published, either that or do some writing for television. Uni work is stifling my creativity just now. While I feel under pressure to do coursework, it gives me a reason not to write anything outside of a Laggan Railway fic.
Apart from that, I take life as it comes.

My goals in life? Well, I still have to finish the last bit of eighth grade, then four years of high school. But after that, I plan to go to college, study the mechanics of the train, and become an engineer, hopefully be able to work at the Strasburg Railroad, my number one dream job. However, if i don't get the job, I'll just go for Amtrak. But I definatly want a job around trains. I'm still only 13 (turning 14 June 12th) so in other words, I still have a while to think about my goals, and what I really want to do. In reality, I still have possibly about 10 years ahead of me before I find myself in the cab of a train.

My dream is to pursue an English degree with a minor in Music. I wouldn't have to go far...the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque has what I've always thought to be a pretty fine music department. Plus, my grandparents live there, so I'd have family close by. Once I've got my degree (and even if I don't), I'd like to settle down and try for a baby. Gender doesn't matter, but I'd be thrilled if I had a little boy I could raise on Thomas!

Life ambitions eh? Well, regardless as to what some of you may have seen on MSN, those aren't my real life ambitions. I would like to go to somewhere like Africa and work in a big cat sancturary, or maybe even set up my own. But first I need to get the funding..... a lot of it. Not to mention a few helping hands. Otherwise, I could convert my attic into somewhere to store my collection, and then charge forum members to come and see it.

I'd like to be able to make money doing something I actually enjoy. Preferably out of my cartoons. I'm partway there, having recently won a contract to produce some cartoons for a new company, but there's a long way to go.

My ambitions:
To meet Christopher Awdry on the Talyllyn or somewhere.
To somehow help get the Railway Series back in print.
I'm currently doing National Diploma Year 1 Performing Arts, and am two thirds of the way through. I hope to go on to University afterwards, gain a degree, become an actor and, like Ryan, write a novel of some sort.

There's a few things I want to do in a few years time. I want to be a Freelance Animator (preferably for Flash Animations), a Comic Artist for my own creations and hopefully others like the BEANO and, very much like Ryan and stuart, I want to become a reconisable writer in the hope of getting some of my stories published.

Rugby. I want to play it in some way or other. Professional or Semi (aka: Full time or Part time), I just want to play it. It's something I'm good at and I'm still improving. If I can just play it for a club, hopefully me hometown club and possibly represent me country in some way, I will be happy. Thats my ambition. (Ah c'mon, we all dream ).

I would like to be an actor, publish my stories I've written into a series, maybe become a writer for the Thomas Series, and most of all, meet Christopher Awdry. Oh, I'd also like to be a millionaire!

I think about my life ambitions all the time. The first thing I want to do is get a job at a video rental store, like Blockbuster, or Hastings, until I graduate high school in another year. I think I'd be good in that kind of job because I'd be getting paid to do something that I love to do, interact with people who are trusting me to reccomend good movies for them to rent. After graduation, I hope to be able to earn a degree at this great acting school I've heard of that's about 45 miles from my home. Afterwards, I'll begin my acting career, and after I've become famous enough, I'll narrate for Thomas the Tank Engine, and, if possible, revive Shining Time Station to play Mr. Conductor. Somewhere along the way, I hope to meet a beautiful woman who'll be willing to spend the rest of her life with me. After marriage, I hope to have a child or two, and after a while, stop acting to give all my time to them. I've technically already started fulfilling my goals, because last week, I applied for a job at a rental store in town. I won't hear from them for up to 90 days, but I hope I get the job so I can get started.

There are lots of things I'd love to do as a career, although they're mostly pretty similar, and related to each other. 2D Animator (I'm not too interested in doing 3D really, but if it were the only thing I could do, then maybe...) Writer Voice actor Cartoonist Director Musician Composer (for film or television) My ideal career would be to do what Kevin Gillis did-- create an animated series, and be on the writing team, direct most episodes, design the characters, produce it, and do the music for it (some of these things would be in collaboration with another person, such as the writing). I highly doubt that it would ever happen, but that would be a dream come true, for me. ;D I've done some of these things for Thomas projects on this forum, but I'd work alot harder and really put all my effort into it if I were to get money for it!

Hmmm, I suppose my main (and so far) only ambition is to become a voice actor. I find it fun because you get to manipulate your voice in all kinds of characterizations. Also, I could get a chance to actually narrate the US version of Thomas! ;D

My life's ambitions are too far out there for me to reach, sadly I might pursue a degree in art...that is, if I don't have Carpel-tunnel Syndrome or whatever it is...that would end my art career pretty quick. As for stuff like getting married and having kids...well, maybe ~Elizabeth
