Probably one of the most popular and influential bands in Heavy Metal, and one of the leading bands in the new wave of british heavy metal during the mid 70s and 80s, formed in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, Iron Maiden are not only one of my favourite bands but they have an unforgetable legacy with 14 studio albums (with a 15th one planned), a Film about the first leg of their last tour which ended April this year, their own plane titled: Ed Force One (which is anAstraeus Boeing 757-200 if anyone knows much about planes) and which is flown by band singer who is also a pilot Bruce Dickinson (who has also written his own film called: Chemical Wedding which stars Simon Callow), their own mascot: Eddie, and no doubting the best band that one could ever see live.
I would reckonmend Iron Maiden too anyone whose not heard of them, listen to their music and go and see them live because you will have the most fantastic time, I've seen them Four Times so far and I hope to see them again because they are amazing and they have some classic songs that are true fan favourites from: Run to the Hills, the Number of the Beast, Fear of the Dark, Wrathchild and my all time favourite (and Band Drummer Nicko McBrain's favourite because if this song is not played their's no Nicko) Hallowed Be Thy Name, it's an amazing song live.
So in this thread, anyone who likes Iron Maiden feel free to discuss about this outstanding band and in my opinion have probably the most loyal fans that you'll ever see (or as a fan quoted in a video, not just a band and it's fans but a family).
Also not forgetting to mention, Iron Maiden also won 'Best British Live Act' at this year's Brit Awards.
