if you we're to ask any retro gamer about boxing games, they would immediately come up with 2 words.
punch & out.
the punch out series is indeed one to remember, starting from arcade (as most games do.)and finally ending up on the home console.
now, being sort of a early 90s gamer,i hadn't ever really played punch out.id only seen videos of it.but when i got round to downloading an emulator and a MTPO ROM,i soon found out what i had been missing.
with great fighting mechanics, awesome game play and unforgettable characters, punch out is one game you might want to have a go at.
and what of the future of the series?will the new punch out game for the wii meet our expectations?
time will tell.

Yeah Punch Out!! is a great game. I got it on my Wii's Virtual Console. I like how each opponent has a certain way to beat em each time. Keeps the old brain working a little as you play. I'm definitely looking foward to seeing how it's played on the Wii.
In my opinion, there should be different control schemes, but there should also be a "deluxe" control scheme that includes two Wii-motes with a MotionPlus attatched to each one, and the Balance Board could be used to weave and duck left and right. That would be perfect.

Well, I bought the Wii remake and it's oodles of fun! In a night, I got through both the minor and major circuits (I had trouble with Great Tiger). I love how they remix the main theme with those of the different fighters' countries. Although having them speak their native tongues is kinda cool, I would rather actually understand what they say. Otherwise a flawless remake.
Has anyone else played it yet?

I'm a big Punch-Out!! fan myself, which I guess I've inherited from my father who played the original Punch-Out!! Arcade (He could never get past Bald Bull) so I couldn't pass up Punch-Out!! Wii. It's a little expensive for being kinda short, so I rented it and enjoyed it immensely.
Only problem is, everyone has one opponent they always have trouble with. My dad had Bald Bull, my friend has Super Macho Man, and me it's...Great Tiger! I can never dodge correctly!
My only problem with Punch-Out!! Wii is that it's rather short, plus no Pizza Pasta or Mad Clown makes me a sad panda. (I want to see my heritage stereotyped!)
RELEASE THE BOGUS!!
