Same thing with the Battle of the Episodes game but with characters. Just say which you like better. TUGS characters can be included. I shall start
Thomas or Bertie

That's a toughie, but I'm going to give the slight edge to Bertie because some of my favourite episodes involve Bertie such as Bertie's Chase and always nice to hear his cheery racy theme song.
Battle of the Number 1s among their perspective teams:
Thomas or Ten Cents
P.S. Nice additional concept to the Battle of the Episodes game. I would be surprised if Battle of the Songs because another addition.

Thomas - There is more to his character and he has had more character development than Ten Cents did.
Edward vs. James.

I'll go for James as he's had more entertaining episodes than Edward.
Thomas or Diesel 10

Got to go with Thomas on this one.
Diesel or Zorran

I'm probably clouded a bit by how flanderized Diesel became in later years, but I think Zorran takes this for me. His dry humour and often biting remarks towards the other characters are more amusing than anything Diesel ever came out with.
The Spiteful Brakevan vs. S.C.Ruffey

S.C.Ruffey had a more interstng backgroundand Angelis gave him a better characterization than Break Van. Wonder what future episodes could have been like with S.C.Ruffey

Duck because without him, Percy would not have known how to show Gordon and James that he (Percy) is useful.
Oliver vs Terence

If we're talking Oliver the Western Engine as opposed to Oliver the Excavator, then Oliver as in Oliver the Western Engine as he's one of my top five favourite characters.
Toby or O.J.

O.J. as he's already old whilst Toby and his crew often say that Toby may look old, I'm into the older characters.
Diesel vs Stepney

Stepney, because he's one of the few real life engines to have properly appeared in the TVS.
Big Mac vs. Warrior.

Warrior. As he had better lines and I found him more entertaining.
Forget Joker and Harley Quinn
Diesel 10 vs Millie

Millie, as I find her a more interesting character.
Salty vs. Scuttlebutt Pete.

I'm going to go with Salty on this one.
Spencer or Top Hat

Top Hat, as he has a better character arc.
Captain Star or The Fat Controller?

I'm going to give the slight edge to The Fat Controller.
Whiff or Billy Shoepack?

Billy Shoepack for me. For me, he is very much David Mitton in an alligator tug's body, with his love for explosions. That, and he's such an amusing, eccentric character in general.
Lord Stinker vs. Toad The Brake Van
Stuart.
