I have read the entire Redwall series except for High Rhulain, the newest one.
According to the official Redwall website, the books were not written in chronological order. The correct chronological order is Lord Brocktree Martin The Warrior Mossflower The Legend of Luke Outcast of Redwall Mariel of Redwall The Bellmaker Salamandastron Redwall Mattimeo The Pearls of Lutra The Long Patrol Marlfox Taggerung Triss Loamhedge Rakkety Tam High Rhulain

I read the first 6 or so books (first-written, not first chronologically), and then kind of lost interest. I enjoyed them alot though, some more than others. Before I discovered the books, I saw the Redwall TV series and didn't think too much of it. Then I read "Martin the Warrior" and got hooked. My favourites were Mossflower and Redwall (the two that I read next, coincidentally). After a while, I remember thinking that they were kind of silly and repetitive, but then again I was only about 10, so I don't know how justified I was in thinking so.
I'd recommend at least the original "Redwall" book to anyone who hasn't read it, and then if you like it then read the others.

I read Redwall, The Bellmaker, Marlfox, and the Pearls of Lutra before I lost interest and moved onto something else.
BTW, anyone read Brain Jacques' non-Redwall novels Castaways of the Flying Dutchman and it's sequel The Angel's Command? Thought these were brilliant.

I used to be completely obsessed with Redwall. I have most of the books, (which I must have read 5+ each!) though not the newer ones written after Taggerung. I got halfway through Taggerung, didn't like it for some reason, and then never read them anymore. I was thinking about re-reading them again some time, are the new ones as good as the older ones - what do people think? BTW: Mossflower was definitely my favourite!

My favorite book in the Redwall series is \"Redwall\" because I think that it had the most action and I think that Brian Jacques didn\'t go too overboard with the different languages like he does in the other books.
P.S. Has anybody seen the cartoon version of Redwall?

Holy crap, I haven't read these books in such a long time! I voted for Redwall, but I really liked them all.
And I never knew there was a Redwall cartoon. I'm intrigued.
