Are you asking about member's teams? Because you pretty much have my main team on my signature. I'm playing Platinum, it's awesome, Sometimes I switch out Garchomp with my Lucario or Electabuzz with Luxray. I mainly play with Fighting and Steel hybrids. If any of you guys have WiFi, my friend code's on my signature, but send me a PM first

Hey, guess what? In June 2009 (Sometime here), it's really 10 years ago when I first watched Pokemon.

That "Legend of Dratini" episode was fantastic. It's a shame that it never aired here in the US.

I've seen most of the banned episodes and the Porygon episode is the only one banned internationally for obvious reasons. I've downloaded all the others, the Whiscash episode was the latest I think.
Speaking of, I've been following the Japanese episodes and the end of Shinnoh is close. I bet they'll do another battle tower next.

Speaking of the Whiscash episode, I heard that it never even aired in Japan because a huge earthquake occured right before it was due to air. And while we're on the subject of banned episodes, I heard that there was a special New Year's episode that was supposed to air in Japan back in 1997, but that was also cancelled due the Electric Soldier Porygon fiasco.

Neither in Spain put the episodes about Dratini and Porygon (they brought the series directly from the USA not like Digimon) also they didn 't brought the episodes about the princesses contest where Jessie gets her Lickitung and the episode where James got some fake, and big, breasts.
I like Pokémon but I prefer now the videogames like Diamond and Pearl. I 've been training Pokémon since 2000 and I will never stop training Pokémon.

Looks like they're pulling an Adventure Begins for the 20th Pokemon film by retelling the start of Ash's journey. Haven't seen any of the movies since the 9th one, but I'll definitely be making an exception for this little nostalgia fest. Can't wait!

So... other than Chris, no ones been active here for nearly a decade!
I'm just curious as to who the current Poké/Thomas fans are currently out there.
Anyways, I stumbled across the anime at the beginning of Black and White and fell in love with it *gets shot by fans*. I didn't know there was anything more to it then. Currently, my favorite series is the XY seasons, though I love the English dubs for Sun and Moon.
I've seen a play through of Red, and am hoping to be lay Sun soon, but, as of now, I haven't played any of the games.
Be checking here periodically now to see who's apart of this fandom 😉

I'd probably say I'm more into the games, though I do have a soft spot for anime, especially the earlier series. I squealed in delight when I found out the Indigo series was on Netflix. It was like I was a kid again ^_^
Also really liked Origins. Plan to give Generations a watch at some point, hehe :3

I lost most of my interest around the time of X/Y. It briefly flared back for ORAS, but sadly that candle has lived it's life. I'm grateful for the memories, though.
Also, I just saw what I was actually like 8 years ago. Nobody should've let me on a forum at 14.

Of interest I believe this thread is for the Anime and that another of the same name created two years after this one (2007 and 2009 respectively). In regards to the anime: The current ongoing season (currently in English subtitles only as only two English dubbed episodes) of Sun and Moon just saying is sort of a far cry from the once courageous and witful Ash we use to know. He's more... Zealous, and whilst that's not terrible the new way they write him is just really bad honestly, and from an animation standpoint he looks awful. Since I had a go at his Alolan look, I'll quickly have a row at his other incarnations: In Hoenn he was so bland in terms of character, it felt... Repetitive. I think (personally) that the Diamond & Pearl era alongside the XY&Z era are his best seasons in terms of him as a character (Kanto, Orange Islands and Johto are classics so I'm biased ) in the last few years following the Silver Conference. So yeah.

I liked the first season of the show, but I always liked the games better. I can't say I really like the show, especially after that Kalos league debacle were Ash lost for the umpteenth time.

Saw the 20th movie at the cinema today: {Spoiler}I haven't checked in on the TV series or movies since I lost interest in the franchise around a decade ago. Given this 20th anniversary entry was mooted as something of a love letter for older fans, I decided to see it as a one-off.
Sure enough there are more "remember this?" nods than you can count, some of which are very well done, but you can't build an entire film on those. The whole thing feels pretty episodic (to be expected, given this is a semi-remake of the early episodes) and doesn't really go anywhere. As I recall, the older movies were never that brilliant on the writing front either, so I guess this is no huge step up or down. To be fair, there was one lovely original moment towards the end that took me by surprise and brought on the feels.
The English dub, as expected, was a bit of a let down. One of the things that caused me to lose internet was when they axed the original dub cast, and 10 years on I still don't care for the replacement voice of Ash. Pretty flat performances all round. Another disappointment was almost all the original Japanese music had been replaced by a far less memorable score.
Overall, a beautifully animated if slightly hollow nostalgia bomb that could have been much improved with a few more script revisions and more sensitive localisation.

It seems Pokémon has decided to keep surprising us more and more. First the alternate universe to celebrate 20 years of the Pokémon anime with I Choose You, but now they have REALLY gone and 'shocked' us.
We are getting yet another alternate universe movie so it seems! Here Ash appears to have elements of his BW/XY design of jacket, with a new red collar, and has the M20 hat, since it has been revealed that this is indeed the sequel to I Choose You. But surprisingly revealed is this new girl in the trailer. This is looking wild, I am so hyped for this.
EDITED PLEASE REREAD.

Pretty sure if you’re internet savvy you’d have seen these by now but if you haven’t already the newest footage for the Pokémon 2018, now called Everyone’s Story.
Here are the two latest trailers to be dropped, one the longer version, the other the more to the point thirty second one:
And here in the shorter version we getter a better view of Lugia as it passes new girl Lisa.

Very, very, very excellent news arose earlier today! The first English dubbed trailer for what is being called The Power of Us has been put out, and I gotta say it is super hype that they may be keeping the original Japanese music for this, because it does seem awfully strange that they kept the original music and clips from the third Japanese trailer for the English release. I’m excited, I’m just excited and I can’t explain why . Also — shout outs to TPCI for the throwback to The Power of One, very clever in my view.
