Anyone else here like this show? I've found myself getting into it over the past weeks. I do like the fact it shows a future that isn't perfect.

I see some similarites between Futurama and Tugs.
1) both have very large fan bases 2) Both shows were in the shadow of a well known successful TV show.
I have a Simpsons comic were it's a cross over with Futurama.

Dude, Futurama's the man. Bender has got to be the BEST robot character in any TV show or Movie. EVER. "Bite my shiny metal ***!" Classic.

I'd say Futurama is a bit like the Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy or even Gulliver's Travels, in that it uses sci-fi to satirise the present. I particularly love the concept of the Central Bureauocracy (sp?).

I find it funnier than The Simpsons, tbh. Zoidberg being my favourite character as it's so much fun to run bow-legged right through a rowdy classroom shouting "Wobb wobb wobb wobb!" whilst snapping your hands.

Is it just me or Zoidberg sounds like Hercules from Tugs?

Futurama returns!!!! www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,213023,00.html Edit: For some reason when you try to click on the link it cuts out some characters, so you'll have to copy and paste it to your browser to view it.

I do like Futurama, especially Bender is the most funniest character that I ever saw! Especially the only episode I like is that Fry, Bender, Leela, & the other vacation on board the space cruise ship Titanic, especially the best part is that they're in great danger when they're approaching the edge of a black hole. Great episode, great comedy, great show!

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the four movies that are being made for the fifth season here yet!
Bender's Big Score is already out (I have it, and it is brilliant!), but there are also The Beast With A Billion Backs, Bender's Game and Into The Wild Green Yonder still to come!
I won't post any spoilers here, but for those of you who were unaware of this development, be prepared towet your pants with excitement! ;D

I don't think I like the Simpsons show, though I like the Road Range game boy game I have! It's fun & crazy & if you own a gameboy advance sp, you can try getting it at your local game store!

I can't believe I had to stray all the way back into the depth of the Sixth Page to drag this thread out of the dust.
Having recently purchased the three most recent Futurama feature lengths, I have to say I was very impressed. Bender's Game was generally all round fun, and a great spoof of many fantasy films that have come out in recent years. But Into the Wild Green Yonder was one of the best Futurama things I think I've ever seen. It has a great plot, plenty of action and oodles of drama. Brilliant!

Not looking forward to the new episodes. If they're anything like Wild Green Yonder, then I'm POSITIVE Futurama will follow post-revival Family Guy downhill.

I haven't watched too many episodes of "Futurama", but I can safely say that my favorite episode would have to be "A Flight to Remember." Its Titanic spoof was what drew me to that episode, and it was interesting to see Bender fall in love with the robot who was supposed to be like Rose.

well the heart-warming scenes are sad but good & show that even though Fry was gone there were several people that still loved him even though they were mean to him

They've started with the new episodes. I thought most of the movies weren't that great. The first new episode (Rebirth) still seems a lot like the movies, but in general is pretty good. The 2nd episode (In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela) has me pretty hopeful, in that it managed to avoid the really bizarre tangents that plagued the movies.

I love Futurama, the new episodes are really well done too. I started watching it about two years ago, one day I went to Comedy Central and found a Futurama marathon, and I decided to watch it out of curiosity. The first one I ever saw was the fourth episode, and I cannot remember the title. I grew attached to it as it was one of the funniest shows I ever saw.
