Everyone who lives in the town coming to live in the valley is a bit far fetched in my opinion. And talking construction machines aren't?

Yes, but within the context of the show I could accept talking vehicles, but this was beyond my suspension of disbelief. It had stepped over the line. I'm happy to accept unrealistic things for the sake of a good story, as long as it's done realisticly.

I remember Bob the Builder back when I was almost 7 and it was a very good show. I didn't think it ripped off a bunch from "Thomas & Friends" because there was no narrator in "Bob the Builder" and the show was very funny!I had some toys before and I used to play with them when I turned 7.I still enjoy the "Project:Build-It!"series,the only problem is that the station where they used to air the episodes don't air them anymore.

I'm not sure if anybody has seen the new version of 'Bob the Builder'. But I've seen one of the new episodes and a few clips of it and it doesn't look as bad as what I thought it was going to be. The new Voice Cast is as follows: Lee Ingleby - Bob Blake Harrison - Scoop Steven Kynman - Lofty Paul Panting Jacob Scipio Nick Mercer Lucy Montgomery - Wendy Terry Mynott I hope they haven't got rid of Spud the Scarecrow from the show. If anyone fancies editing or adding names to the new cast list, then feel free .

I liked Bob the Builder growing up, so in the interest of fairness (after all, I do enjoy Thomas's CGI), I watched the new episode that aired today. Spoiler The reboot (if that's what it is) has kept the spirit of the show beautifully, and follows the same sort of format - Bob and the crew are building something, some form of problem occurs and the team come up with a solution to fix it. Today saw a dinosaur skeleton being moved into a museum, only to discover that the door is too small. The tone of humour and seriousness was spot on, and the resolution, whilst easily foreshadowed and spelt out throughout, was a clever one. For me though, Lofty and his new-found confidence stole the show:
Mr Bentley: Careful now! That skeleton is 65 million years old! Lofty: Thank goodness it's not a new one.
Summary: a fairly easy and enjoyable watch, may end up watching a few more to see how it pans out, since there was only a small selection of characters involved.

I like Bob the Builder. It's one of my top favorite kids shows but my favorite kids and tv show of all time is Thomas and Friends. I liked the original 1998-2004 series and the Project Build It series. I also thought Ready, Steady, Build was meh but had a few good episodes. The CGI special (Legend of The Golden Hammer and Big Dino Dig) were good. I don't like the 2015 series that much though.

I didn't watch Bob the Builder a lot growing up. I saw one of the movies, an episode that came with a Thomas DVD as a bonus feature, and a few on TV, but that's about it. However, I have started watching the reboot, and It's actually pretty good. I honestly don't see why people don't like it. The animation is good, the characters are fairly faithful to their original counterparts (with changes as needed), and the plotlines are pretty good. If you want to hate on something, hate on almost anything from Season 13-16 of Thomas and Friends. Almost all of it is complete garbage.

Yet another show from my childhood. So many likable characters, fun episodes, and catchy theme song, which, as many a fan will know, was the UK's number one Christmas single in the year 2000. That is quite a major achievement for a kids show theme song. I love Bob the Builder! Oh, and a word of advice: Stick with the classic stop-motion animated version, especially Series 1 to 9.
And here is what I think is one of the most epic scenes in not just Bob the Builder lore, but kids show lore in general:
