Well, this is another of HIT Entertainment's children's series. I liked this show alot, especially the machines. It's also very funny at some points.

This show is basically a hit and miss attemp to remake Thomas the Tank Engine Aside from talking vehicles, I fail to see the similarities. And given the level of success it's achieved, I wouldn't exactly call it 'hit and miss'. I mean, it's one of HiT's biggest properties.

I think it's one of those shows that you'd have enjoyed more if you were younger when it first came out. Most of us have grown up with Thomas having been born during it's long TV run, whereas Bob only came around about 6 years ago.
I did watch quite a few episodes; it was one of the better things on childrens TV in it's time, but didn't find it as good as it was often made out to be. Bob was really more of a passing fad like Teletubbies and Barney the Dinosaur, which I'd say died out (or at least down) due to their lack of change, whereas Thomas seems to change in some way everytime he graces the screen with a new series.

A lot of times with me, when a show changes I tend to lose interest. Doesn't happen that way with Thomas, but like Little Bear, Rugrats, and many other shows, when they either add new characters or enter a new storyline, I stop watching ^^' Guess I don't like change a lot!
But I do adore Lofty for some reason - and Pilchard too! XD

When it first aired, i was slightly interested; I don't really like it so much anymore but it's not the worst show ever or anything. It wasn't as interesting as TTTE and a few other shows though but i suppose it's a bit of a bias by me towards shows I grew up with; as Old Square Wheels said, it was something that would've been more enjoyable if you were younger when it was first released. (Whee! 100th post.)

Another Show that was better than this apart from Thomas The Tank Engine was Joshua Jones which was by the same people who did Fireman Sam.
I never really paid much attention to this program.

I like Bob the Builder. Okay, I don't watch it much, but I think it's a good show. I don't think it's an attempt to remake Thomas any more than Thomas the Tank Engine was an attempt to remake The Little Engine That Could. It's educational and modern and I think kids can relate to it - we've all seen construction machines at work, and it's easy to imagine them as living things. I think if I'd seen it when I was a young child, I'd be an addict.

I surpose every program has there own unique features. Like I said before I'm not bothered about BTB that much but some of the episodes that I have watched were OK. Can't really say if it's trying to recreate Thomas & Friends as I have not noticed a train character in that show yet apart from a Train Set some person had and thats about it.
I remember the songs that were released in the charts a few years back.

Well, after some thought,it's ok considering it was made by the current owners of Thomas.I thought Scoop and Roley are ok characters.

I never really got into Bob The Builder too much, although the songs were good...plus there was the contraversial occasion where he was accused of swearing.

When was that?

I'm not entirely sure, but it was a while ago. A mother (Soccer Mum, probably) had thought that Bob had swore in the episode where he was trying to put some wallpaper up, in the scene where his head got stuck to the wallpaper. Careful analysis proved (obviously) that this wasn't the case.

For those who do watch it, have anyone seen the Sunflower Valley episodes? What do you lot think of them? I think it's Ok but Scrambler can be annoying at times.

I've seen some of them. I think they're good - educational and moral, but without shoving it in the kids' faces. I agree Scrambler is annoying, but I'm guessing the makers didn't create him for twentysomethings on a day off.

The Sunfloer Valley episodes (Also know as "Project Build It") are OK, but I think I prefer the original episodes in the town. Everyone who lives in the town coming to live in the valley is a bit far fetched in my opinion.
