I just don't see why people haven't started a thread for this show yet, so I'll start it. Tom and Jerry are a cat and mouse who make havoc and get into many different series. The original episodes may air on CNetwork, while the new series are under construction by KidsWB.

I've seen pics of the new series and it looks like the original. Here in the UK Tom and Jerry acartoons are very rare. I haven't seen it for along time. PC has played apart in Tom and Jerry. I've heard the scene where Tom is smoking will be cut.
I quite like Tom and Jerry kids. There was a movie that came out where both Tom and Jerry talked. It did badly at box office but I liked it at the time.

Here in the UK Tom and Jerry acartoons are very rare. I haven't seen it for along time. The classic Tom and Jerry shorts are played constantly on Boomerang. I never did like Tom & Jerry kids. I found the animation and music somewhat lacking, I think. I did, however, really enjoy Tom & Jerry: The Movie, which I don't think is particularly popular. It had an interesting plot, some nice songs, plus we get to hear the duo speak for the first time!

Yes the songs were great. Sadly the women who voiced Jerry died some time ago. It was not her time to go. I used to like Droopy who had a cameo in Tom and Jerry the movie and had his own segment in Tom and Jerry Kids. I prefered the Droopy segments than the Tom and Jerry segments.

BTW, it's a bit funny the smoking scenes are being cut, coz just about everything Tom + Jerry do is life threatening. I've seen loads of T+J cartoons, 'though the only place Ill be seeing them now is Cartoon Network Malaysia. sigh, I remember a time when the BBC showed them on Sundays, along time ago...

Ah, the golden age of cartoons. I remember watching this show as a kid, but I can't find it on TV anymore. And I would agree with Chris, the Tom and Jerry Kids show wasn't really that good.

Ah, Tom and Jerry - the one true cartoon cat and mouse of our generation. I read about those scnes with Tom smoking getting cut in the paper in 2006 and am (still) pretty annoyed about it However, I have nearly all the original Hanna-Barbera cartoons on DVD and will continue to be entertained by them for years to come, as I think we all should.

I enjoyed the original cartoons, as did my Dad. The newer cartoons are OK, but they don't quite have the same feel as the original.
I liked the original movie, despite the fact that it wasn't really that popular. I don't really fail to see why, personally, as it wasn't as if either Tom or Jerry had never spoken before (they had in a few cartoons, Tom more so than Jerry). The newer "movies" just feel like elongated T+J episodes.
I can't say I held much interest in Tom and Jerry Kids. Theme tune was catchy, but personally, I prefered the other cartoon segments besides the Tom and Jerry ones, such as Droopy and Dripple.

I love the show since I was 2 or 3.It was one my favorite cartoon show on CN. Here in the UK Tom and Jerry acartoons are very rare. I haven't seen it for along time. I like the movie too.I was 5 when I saw the movie.I liked how Tom and Jerry were talking in the movie. It's like how what happened to "Thomas & the Magic Railroad".The movie wasn't that great, but fans loved it.

Ah, yes! Tom & Jerry! Don't think I've commented about that so far! Here again is a show that I've been fond of from an early age, namely, I suppose, because of the sheer madness of each episode that I've seen. The classic episodes, with Fred Quimbly and Charles.M.Jones in charge of production, were definately the whole point of the series' creation right from the start. Here we see the bare bones of the cat-and-mouse pairing: two personified animals with a friendly rivalry who end up in all sorts of bizarre and tricky situations. Usually Tom being put on mouse patrol, only to have Jerry get his own back in a variety of eccentric ways. Admittedly, some of the more risky stunts, if performed in reality, would need the disclaimer "Don't Try This At Home, Folks!" but there's no guts and gore or anything like that so I think we can accept the series for what it is. Re: Products That Have Come SinceI certainly remember the modern series but I can't really remember why it took my interest back then. It certainly wouldn't now if I happened to come across a clip on YouTube or anything like that - from what I can remember, I understand why there are those who believe it to be lacking. The Movie however is a different story altogether. Admittedly, like Magic Railroad, it was a box office catastrophe, with multiple criticism to boot. I can easily see the reason why, too: it certainly needed improvements in plotline from the little I can remember of it. Nevertheless, it had plenty of redeeming features, such as having the duo speak for the first time which really makes sense, when one comes to think about it. Anyway, that's all from me on the subject - does anyone else remember this amazing cat-and-mouse duo and the tremendous impact they've made round the world since. Warm Regards As Always, MRHloco

My Friend and I are Really big fans of Tom and Jerry. In the US, C+N usually plays it from 12:00-1:00. But I hate the ones they make today. WHERE'S THE VIOLENCE?!?!?

So what are the new one like then. I just can't see Tom and Jerry without the violence. Please don't tell me they're friends now Thankfully no, but as already stated the violence has been toned down somewhat to frequent. The animation pace in some episodes are also a tad slower than the originals, which thankfully improved during Season 2, along with the scripting. Series 2 of Tom and Jerry Tales also brought about reverting the characters' designs to their original appearances from 1940 in a handful of episodes - " A Game of Mouse and Cat" and " Kitty Cat Blues" are some episodes worth watching, alongside " A Life Less Guarded".
