I saw it last night at the [somewhat] local drive-in, along with Cars. One of the best movies I've seen in a long, long time.

Quite good. Second best movie I've seen this year (first being v for vendetta). found the scene after the credits funny.

I was very confused throughout this movie. There was so much going on that it was hard to keep track of what was happening. Though I must admit I liked seeing Davy Jones play that huge organ with his tentacle-beard.

I loved it!!!, although i felt the Davy Jones stuff went on a bit too long for my liking, and the sequence (no pun intended) involving Jack Sparrow and the long pole was absolutely hilarious, this one (in my opinion) is better than the first one, although the ending made me think 'Hmm, how are they gonna clear that one up'

Okay, I am not a fan of Pirates of the Carribean. I never like this movie because of the bad directors.

How is the director bad?
I'd like to see this movie, although I'm not particularly excited by it, nor did the first one seem popular enough to justify this one being the most anticipated movie of the year, or whatever it's been deemed as.

I thought the movie was excellent, and they leave bits in to make it feel like a true sequel. I loved it to bits ^^
My favourite character has to be Davy Jones, he has been done so well, my regards to the 3d animators, he looked so real!
Can't wait for the DVD! =D

I can't wait for the next one. Davey Jones was great. There was a scene after the credits but I didn't stay for it.

I give it a 8/10. The scenes with the cannibals were pretty funny, as well as the sword fight between Norrington, Will, and Capt. Jack, but the humor didn't really have the punch that the first movie had. I had a feeling Barbosa was going to turn up at some point, because it's never revealed what happened to him at the end of the first one. However, I did like the fact that those two idiots from the first movie (The one eyed guy and his friend) reappeared, and added enough comic relief to make the movie quite enjoyable. The giant squid thing I thought was pretty dumb though, I was hoping for a ship battle rather than some overgrown calamari smashing a ship to matchwood.

if there's one thing i don't understand is why the kraken (giant squid) takes all that time to wreak havoc on the ship when it could just destroy/sink the ship the first time around.

The best bit was when the pirates were swinging in the cages trying to grab the rockface. Classic!

I liked this movie when I first saw it too, despite the fact that I never saw the first one! My favorite scenes would have to be the cannibal chase scene (my mom commented that Capt. Jack, and I quote "Runs like a fairy." ), and that final scene with Capt. Jack facing the kraken and saying "'ello beastie."
