Bet you didn't see this one coming (not the thread, the creator of the thread). Yes, in all honesty, I am a fan of Winnie the Pooh. Hey, if I can be honest with my Thomas interest, SURELY I can be open about this! Anyway, I'm sure WTP needs no introduction (if someone asks for one, then I recommend that you get out more).

Winnie the Pooh? Eh, he's cool, I guess. I can appreciate his whole 'naive innocent' type of lifestyle. Plus he has some really fun minigames in the Kingdom Hearts games. Oh wait, assuming we're talking about regular Winnie, and not Jenovah the Pooh. (Warning-link contains strong language) And I have to admit, the thread creator did throw me for a second. What attracts you to the bear the most?

Kanga and Roo are actually the reason why I watch/read Winnie the Pooh. They are too cute.

Hmm, now that I think about it, I'm a big fan of Winnie the Pooh. The original books by A. A. Milne are classic children's literature, and the original Disney shorts were great, although the later one "A Day For Eeyore" was pretty lame. I even loved the animated series "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh". Loved the theme song (I'm not talking about the one from the original shorts, although that one's great too, I mean the 80's one that goes "Gotta get up, gotta get going, gonna see a friend of mine," etc...).
When I was little my favourite character was Rabbit, although now I don't really think I have a favourite; they're all great characters.

I loved Winnie the Pooh when I was small, the original books were perhaps my favourite works of literature after the RS. I really hate the way Disney's turned him into this huge cash cow, he's barely recognisable.

'Cash cow', eh? Treated Winnie like HIT Entertainment have treated Thomas, have they?
Besides this, Christopher Robin Milne (A.A Milne's son, whom the stories were written for in the first place) was briefly mentioned in 'Sodor: Reading Between The Lines.'

Stuart They sure have, the women who is married to Christopher Robbin isn't bothered by him being replaced by a female in the upcoming new series. I used to like Tigger when I was younger.

I'm a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh, I've been watching his cartoons since I was a kid. Even though some people said I'm too silly to be still liking him, I don't care, because I enjoy seeing his adventures with his friends. And also, Pooh's innocence represents the Pooh Bear we know and love. I always like the Disney designs of Pooh and his friends, they are the best. I wouldn't want them to be in any other different designs.

Another example of 'revolution changed from legends'. Think Looney Tunes, when WB (Pm me for what I call them now) changed the entire cast into Dragonball Z goths. Pointless.

I like Winnie the Pooh. Every now and then, I'll still read the original stories. I think that they're almost as great as the Railway Series. Even the old show was good. Yes, I love the old theme song too.

What's the deal with this tomboy girl? Can somebody direct me to a news page where it was announced?
BTW, I dislike the way Christopher Robin has been thrown around in past years. In Piglet's Big Movie, his accent was over-the-top. And I thought Disney didn't do stuff like that (oh well, that was the 80s and Duck Tales). I didn't that American boy who cameoed him the the credits of The Book of Pooh.
Lastyly, would anyone happen to have the full lyrics to the Winnie The Pooh song (the old one I mean-they live in the hundred acre wood...)

Poor Owl. Nobody likes him... . I used to like the show, but now just like any children's show it's been dumbed down and changed so much it's hardly recognizable.

Does anyone remember the old Winnie the Pooh movie "Pooh's Grand Adventure"? I still love that.

It's not too old, it's from around 1997. I remember when I got it, and was excited to see it. I was slightly underwhelmed by it, and frightened, but it was pretty good. A little darker than typical Pooh stuff.

Does anyone remember Gopher, who claimed that he was not in the book? He seems to have disappeared in recent stories. What happened?

Does anyone remember Gopher, who claimed that he was not in the book? He seems to have disappeared in recent stories. What happened? Gopher was used to americanize the show. I've heard and read that he was to have Rabbit and Pigglets part but they are in she show now. I've no idea what happended to him. Perhaps they don't need him now.
