Okay, I've been debating whether or not to start this thread for a few weeks. This was a chldren's show from the 1980's early 1990's. It's very good. I've been watching it a lot recently. Anyone else like it?

I have mixed feelings about it. I always tell myself I'm not gonna watch it, but I end up watching it anyway. I do think it was a decent show, but its a shame that guy had that little incident in the movie theater.

That show was one of the greatest Children's shows ever! It had something for everyone, life lessons for the kids, and even adult-themed jokes for the adults! My personal favorite segment was always, 'The Secret Word'. Everyday, I visit this website: secretword.tj9991.com/It features a different 'Secret Word' everyday, and I often find myself having an impulse to, 'Scream Real Loud' whenever I hear the day's word! It really alot of fun, and it drives my Mom nuts!

Some news is apparently out that Paul Reubins (Pee Wee) has a new movie script ready for the theatres. Called The Pee Wee's Playhouse Movie (due to change, I'd bet), it reuinites most of the original cast. I had read it in a one-week-old Entertainment Weekly magazine. I'm really surprised......

Well I vaguely remember watching this as a kid, and to be honest, I really never cared too much for it. However, for those too young to remember "Pee-Wee's Mishap" let me give you a short synopsis. On July 26 1991, Paul Reubens was caught masturbating in a Florida porno theater. When this leaked out to the press his 'Pee-Wee Herman' image was basically ruined. CBS, who was airing 'Playhouse' at the time, dropped it from the line-up and all merchandise for the series was pulled from store shelves across the country. However, Reubens made a deal in court. In exchange for a fine and a few public service announcements, he got off with a clean record. His final appearance as 'Pee-Wee' was at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 5, 1991 where he got a standing ovation and asked the audience, "Heard any good jokes lately?"

Does this have anything to do with the Pee-Wee Herman movies?

from what I've heard (considering I've seen only a small bit of the first one from when I was like 4), the first one is quite well liked. the second isn't as much.

I personally love this show. It's a pity I never really watch it much anymore, because it's on at midnight. I always find myself laughing whenever they say the secret word.

Ah, yes, "Pee-Wee's Playhouse" was always making me laugh. I'm glad they decided to bring it back. I've caught some of the episodes on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. It's great to see this show making a comeback.

I saw that show before on Fox Family and I used to watch it on Cartoon Network since 2007.The show was an inspiration to "Blue's Clues" like the talking objects and Steve Burns got the idea from Pee Wee like when he screams when he sings "The Mail Song".

When the show first aired, my co-workers and I used to make it a point to watch it on Saturday mornings. We'd have a laugh on Monday mornings comparing all of the innuendos that were dropped by the actors during the show

I still find it incredible that such a bizarre and occasionally downright terrifying (*Cough*LargeMarge*cough*) movie could become such a wacky but funny show!

(blows dust off)
I thought it'll be a good time to talk about Pee Wee Herman since Paul Reubens died recently.
As I mentioned in a old post, I saw some pieces of the show through reruns on Fox Family, but like with Shining Time Station, I vaguely remember it. It wasn't until the summer of 2007 when Cartoon Network had reruns through Adult Swim. It was very wacky and funny to see.
