Now many of us have seen some incredible stories, adaptations, and retellings here on YouTube and elsewhere. They can be of high quality such as Haydn's Crossed Lines series or they could be something else. I mainly remember the series from YouTube users such as Trainlover476 and missoliverandblossom (which can be... mildly controversial) I wanted to start this thread since recently, I've seen several new adaptation and resumptions of old stories and such, like ButterflyCoffee resuming her Newton Abbot Saga and Victor Tanzig starting his Stories of Sodor series. So I want to ask, what are, or have been, your general favorite adaptations, original stories, and such.
When I was younger, I remember being into Tomy Thomas and Friends by trainlover476 and T&F by missoliverandblossom. Yes, I know these series are really inappropriate at times and can cause a bit of a stir, but when your 13 years old like I was, its funny as hell. Nowadays, I like stories with a much more serious tone and more organized. This is how I fell in love with Crossed Lines and other stories such as The Stories of Sodor, The Newton Abbot Saga, and of course Simon Martin's British Railway Stories. These storiesI've just named humanize the machines we all know and love, even if they are all, at the end of the day, nothing more than machines. This is part of the reason why I began writing San Juan Chronicles. I wanted to add to that legacy that has already been built, and can further influence and inspire other content creators, even if I can't produce these series in video format.
So, what is your favorite fan story or independent story?

Too many to mention. However, I will admit, I love the finales to both Thomas1Edward2Henry3’s The Engines of Sodor and TurtlesandThomas’s Sudrian Conflict. Both really showed how much the engines had matured and grown as characters throughout their respective series.

I enjoy Simon's British Railway Stories, as well as Streaking Steam Productions' Thomas adaptations. But my personal favourite is NWR1991's NWR Tales series because I like how he blends aspects of the Railway Series and the first five seasons of the TV Series. Not also forgetting some of Tardis Rescue's works.
