I'm surprised no one else has done this before. This is a thread to discuss Avatar: The Last Airbender. Here's the intro:

I think I can consider myself a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I got into the show via Doug Walker (The Nostalgia Critic), who made Vlogs on each episode before reviewing the 2010 live action movie (The less said about that one, the better!) This wouldn't be something I would normally watch, but after seeing how well the writing and the animation holds up, it's become one of my favourites. I also enjoyed The Legend of Korra too. It took me a little while to get into it and despite Avatar being a hard act to follow, Korra definitely shone through in its latter seasons. If anyone has yet to watch either of these shows, I thoroughly recommend checking them out!

The Sleeper Agent loves 'The Last Airbender'. I actually saw the movie first. It was cool with the special affects and all, but it was somewhat lacking. Still semi intrigued from the odd scene I saw when my younger sis was watching it on DVD we later watched the whole thing from the start. Two eps in I was still finding it a little childish, but after that I fell in love. Though i'm a little too old for it I can say its easily the greatest cartoon in of the decade. Thundercats, X-men, Spiderman Conan the Barbarian or even Wily Fog were great with their ongoing stories, but nothing I can recall has such a well paced unfolding and the humour of Uncle and Toph and Sokka etc really added to its entertainment. I love Ghost in the Shell Stand : Stand alone Complex, as the Tachikomas add some much needed humour over the dry films, but this series is more endearing. I hate just watching just one episode at a time, so I'm patiently waiting for the complete run of the new carry on to be released on DVD. Its nice that some of the original cast are supporting it- sort of like what happens in 'The Four Little Engines' engines Oh just incase anyone is unaware there are 3 bonus shorts on the final DVD vol. The one where everyone is trying to prove their element is superior is a riot.

I first heard of this show around late 2004 when I saw a trailer from "The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie Game" I got for Christmas and thought it was a new game until Nick announced it's a show that would air sometime later. I've only watched the first two episodes when it came out, but it didn't grab my attention at the time as I was into other shows at the time. I didn't watch rest of it until Sozin's Comet finale was announced during the summer of 2008, and since there was nothing else to watch at the time, I decided to watch it and love the show after watching it. It was very funny and action-packed that I decided to rewatch the show from beginning to end to see what I missed out. I lost interest in the show after my family stopped having cable, but kinda regained it recently from some of the reaction videos I saw on YT.
I did know of the sequel show "The Legend of Korra" when it was about to be out in 2012, but I already fell out of watching cable at the time and had no interest in it. I then watch one or two episodes of Book 2 when my family used to stayed in hotels for a while, but I didn't had much of a interest for it. But a few months ago I watched some reactions from The Normies on some episodes back in late 2019 and I enjoyed the episodes from Book 3 the most. I did wanna watch the show, but a lot of people say it's a mix bag compare to the original.
