Lessee...
A number of "Ben"s,
A few "Emily"s,
I knew a "Will" (but not a Bill),
several Katherines (but, to my knowledge, no "Catherine"s),
My sister's name is Annie (she's the polar opposite of her, though),
I knew a Stephen in first grade (Stephen as in "Stephen Topham Hatt"),
I also knew a Jack, Jeremy, Eric, a Ben, and a Barry in first grade. ( Barry as in "Never Published", Eric as in "Mountain Engines")
I knew a Ruthie (Ruth) in second grade. She looked like a dark-haired Belldandy.
A friend of my dad's is named Ed. He owns a bike shop.
Another friend of my dad's is named Tom, but he lives a ways away.
Fred's another friend of my dad's. He works at my old grade school.
We also know of a man named Victor who owns an Egyptian food shop (including gyros).
I have an aunt on my mother's side named Rosie.
A fifth grade teacher of mine was named Doug. He taught math and was my homeroom teacher, too.
Another teacher of mine from the fifth grade was named Terry (Terrence, or Terrier - as in Stepney). He taught science, and he was a very cool teacher.
In grade school and high school I knew lots of Chrises (most of which were nice),
I knew several Colins (some nice, some not),
I knew of a few Patricks (including myself - Think "Mountain Engines"),
I knew a really crazy kid named Neil,
And a calmer, cooler kid named Kevin,
I've known of and met throngs of Mikes, of all colours, shapes, and sizes,
I once knew a Bernie (but no Berts or Berties),
And I also knew a Thomas and a Hector who were seniors when I was a freshman.
I also knew a Peter, a Sam or two, and a Derek.
We have a neighbor next door named Molly,
and her mother is named Nancy (think "Passengers and Polish" or "Crosspatch"),
her father Pat(trick),
and her dog named Bailey (think "Haunted Henry" - except the dog is female).
I was interviewed by a "Don" (assumably Donald) last week at a local HyVee grocery,
And about a month ago by a "Chris"...
And I think that's about my experience with people who have names that are the same as or similar to Thomas characters (and authors).
Oh, wait, I also knew a Mark in grade school, and I have an uncle named Mark, too.
There, THAT's it.
