I'm going to say Derek, but the second clue makes me feel lost. My apologies Vicar, but I wrote the wrong number of wheels accidentally. The character was actually Butch. Anyway, back to the game at hand... This Character... 1. Only appears in the Magazines 2. Is a certain type of vehicle that a brand new character is also. 3. Is the second character to have a certain style face (following a S4 character).

(07-08-2011) I'm going to take a crack at this. Is it... Angus the Fire Truck? EDIT(07-09-2011 - the above post has been deleted and then merged with this): Should have done this when I first posted here. Anywho... here goes: -This character appeared a couple of times within a season, -Isn't a steam engine or a diesel, -And was once used as a workmen's hut. Who is this character?

Old Slow Coach?
This engine -'s prototype has been used in DOWT events but not as this engine. -has at one point showed enmity towards the engine whose guise it appeared in at DOWT events. -May have a speaking roll next season of Thomas and Friends.

Duke It just has to be... Moving on, this engine... 1. Is outside framed. 2. Is based upon a real prototype. 3. Has appeared in both the Railway Series and the Television Series. Jack To answer mine? It wasn't Duke. Duke isn't the oldest engine On Sodor.

First off, you're right. That's her. As for my guess to your riddle, I'm guessing either Daisy or Diesel 10. Am I right? Anywho, here's another: -This character was mostly used as a background character when it made it's first appearance, -Doesn't run on rails, -And recently had a magnet instead of a hook. Who is this?

Caroline This engine: - Has a number that actually belonged to real engine - Came off as a bit of a bully at first, but is actually rather friendly - Has two faces in the RWS, but only one in the TV Series

I think I've got it.... it's Arthur!
This engine:
- Was quite rude when he first arrived on Sodor. - Along with another engine of his kind, needed rescuing by a steam engine - Was formerly known as Old Reliable

Yes! You are correct!
I'm guessing D199? It fits with the first and third (I think), and I heard the term Old Reliable with a diesel somewhere.
This engine is coloured green. And he is rarely mean! He had firebox troubles, He rattled and rumbled, his new coal was really quite lean!
Not the best, but hey! First to attempt a limerick!

Going to guess at Henry for that I think... impressed with the limerick, too! Now then, my first go... wish me luck - He's a very old engine who only featured in one story. - His home is a museum. - He wouldn't be able to run on Sodor, unless they built him a special line to run on...

I'm pretty certain you mean Iron Duke - and he's not old at all! ;D He's a replica made out of austerity saddletank parts, in real life. No broad gauge engines made it into preservation, save the "replica" North Star at Swindon Works. Here's mine: - He appeared in one story - he's extremely gruff - he didn't have a face!

Here's mine: - He appeared in one story - he's extremely gruff - he didn't have a face! Highly doubt I'm right on this one, but could this one be the little blue tank engine from RWS book 'James The Red Engine'? Wrong, right? Whoa. I am NOT making sense today. Here's my three clues. This engine: - only appeared in two Railway Series stories - was built at Doncaster - enjoys pulling expresses, but doesn't mind a goods train Good luck!

No broad gauge engines made it into preservation, save the "replica" North Star at Swindon Works. I hate to be petty, but one locomotive did survive from Brunel's gauge Jack

I'll add one more clue. Bluebells. Could it be Captain Baxter? This engine... -Appeared in one book, during the Christopher Awdry era -He's a tank engine, and shares the same trait as an engine on the Ffarquhar branch -Is named after a much-loved person associated with the Railway Series

It's Wilbert!
This engine:
- Only appears in the Railway Series - Could be considered a cousin to Gordon - May have been referenced in "High-Speed Gordon."

Mallard, am I right?
My engine, GeebMachine was Scruff whose prototype was found masquerading as Thomas.
This engine
-Was built in the Victorian era. -Has almost certainly been scrapped. -Had a bit of bother with Snow.
