Yep, it's that time of year again. E3 kicks off today, and by the looks of it, there'll be a lot of goodies in store. No doubt we'll be learning a lot more about Nintendo's Project CAFE and Sony's NGP, as well as getting a closer look at a load of upcoming games. Personally can't wait to see what the likes of Nintendo, Namco and Capcom have up their sleeves. So, discuss. What do you hope to see more of there? Anything in particular you're excited about?

Definitely looking forward to Sonic Generations. With Valve claiming they're not showing anything this year, my hopes for Half Life 2: Episode 3 are quashed. As for Nintendo, I'm just going to say it: Give me a new Star Fox title. I loved Star Fox Assault, I hated Star Fox Command, I'll probably get Lylat Wars on 3DS, but all I want is something new. I'd take it over 5 new Mario titles any day. Please, Mother 3..?

Whatever Capcom has planned for Megaman's 25th anniversary has got me excited. Could it possibly be X9?...Perhaps Megaman 11? Even the possibilities have me stoked.

Well, the Sony conference has just finished, some rather interesting stuff, I must say. The NGP is now officially called the PlayStation Vita, and from what I saw, both hardware AND software-wise, it looks very promising. I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I'm now seriously considering purchasing one when when it comes out Nintendo is up next. Hopefully what they have in store will be just as good

I'm just glad the Vita isn't insanely overpriced like the PS3. Being a Nintendo fan, I probably won't pick it up, but it's nice to see they're learning.
With Nintendo, I hope they blow everyone out of the water like last year. If "Project Cafe" is all it's cracked up to be, I can forsee that.

Holy carp, dude... that's all I have to say after watching the Nintendo conference. So, Project CAFE has been revealed... with the official name of Wii U. That controller looks like it could open up a whole host of oppetunities, and all the 3rd party support it's getting... Assassin's Creed, Arkham City, Tekken, Darksiders 2, Ghost Recon, EA Sports... not to mention the fact that it's HD. This really does seem like a console that'll appeal to both casual and hardcore gamers. Me want! NOW!! And, of course, there's the new titles mentioned for 3DS... totally wasn't expecting Luigi's Mansion 2, but it's awesome nonetheless... must get 3DS soon I am SO gonna be poor ;D

Quite the opposite for me. I was extremely let down by Nintendo's conference. The only games that interested me at all were the Star Fox remake and the announcement of SSB4. I'm completely unsold on the console too (unlike last year, where E3 reversed my feelings towards the 3DS). Nintendo, you still have a chance. Just announce a certain game you ignored for GBA several years ago, and we can be friends again. Even better, surprise-announce 3DS remakes of the other 2 games in the series.

Wii U?
Waste of time in my opinion. I've always felt that Nintendo should have died off, and Sega should have progressed had the Dreamcast been successful. Whilst I found the GameCube fun, the Wii just seemed like the same console but with herp derp motion controls, which I found annoying. If I want to play Tennis, i'll go outside, rather than stand inside and look like a fool.
As for the controller, if I wanted an iPad crossed with a SNES controller, I'd be daft. It makes no sense, and just doesn't look right. Shrinking it down and removing the screen would be a good idea.
Mark my words, the Wii U could well be the Dreamcast of Nintendo. If so, I'll remember them for the better days, when they were at war with Sony and Sega.
PS Vita?
This is more like it. A proper console by a company who knows how to make consoles. Waiting for the preorder forms, and I know I'll order one. I might be a Sony fanboy, but I feel the Vita will overpower the 3DS, which I see as a child's toy in comparison. The only thing on the 3DS I like is Ocarina of Time, but I'll stick to my Nintendo 64 version.
---
I'm just going to keep an eye out for anything that doesn't appeal to casual gamers. The amount of dance titles, motion control games and such is saddening, I can't help but feel Video Games are a dying art.

I'm waiting for more confirmed software before I devote myself to the Wii-U.
But after E3 I might be ready to adopt the 3DS, with Mario 3D, Luigi's Mansion, and the Zelda and Starfox remakes. I'd like to wait though and see if they come out with an XL model.

That level looks suspiciously like City Escape from Sonic Adventure 2/Battle..... cool.
Looks like it'd be good on a handheld; good to see it's coming to the 3DS.

Posted right above Chris The 3DS version, minus Green Hill, will have levels and bosses unique to it, so nothing from the Console version. As for said version, it really looks unimpressive in terms of visuals, and Classic Sonics gameplay is just a remake so far. That level looks suspiciously like City Escape from Sonic Adventure 2/Battle..... cool. Looks like it'd be good on a handheld; good to see it's coming to the 3DS. It IS City Escape. It's part of the games plot which involves a time warp. [youtube] Modern City Escape Classic City Escape

So new Smash Bros., Luigi's Mansion 2 and Sonic Generations looking promising? Well, all this E3 needs is a good Megaman announcement tomorrow, and I'll be set on this being the best one ever.
