Well, I'm sure most if not all of you guys have heard of the UFO incident in Roswell, New Mexico in the late 1940's If you are completely clueless about this, watch Indiana Jones 4. you'll get a decent idea of it.
Since this, there has been numerous doumentaries, studies, etc. of the autopsy. I believe the footage of it is on the net. Just Google "alien autopsy". Whether the footage is real, there is a whole other debate. but the question remains remained unanswered for over 60 years.
In a newspaper article this morning, there was a conclusion. Please note, that the answer is sick, horrendous, and shouldn't be posted here. If you want to find out the answer, use Google. A brief answer is that the UFOs and aliens were indeed "real", but were not from outer space. Rather, a nation here on Earth.

I saw the movie Alien Autopsy featuring Ant and Dec. Yes I know, but I have watched this duo since the days of Byker Grove.
I think you have to take into account what newspaper that article comes from, and also stories like this 'sell' and these days that is what newspaper owners want to do. Unfortunately it is no longer about the truth but rather a 'good' story.
Unfortunately I couldn't find the article you're talking about, maybe if you told us the name of the newspaper it will be easier for people to search.

My Grandpa told me about it. He said it was in the paper today. I asked who wrote the article, and I think he said the United press. I think I'll put the answer here in spoilers. After the second World War, the USSR made a flying saucer, and planted it at Area 51. The worst part were the aliens. They were made from real humans. I'll leave it at that.

Hmm,
I'm not sure how reliable United Press are, I'm at the website and they seem to be trustworthy. However, you do not know where the journalist got the sources from, which is problematic in this case. If Russia or anyone else, did something like this then there could be a full blown investigation on the way. (Or at least there should be). Just remember most people, including myself love a good conspiracy theory.
I know I seem to be putting journalists down here, but I am studying Journalism, and my lecturers have told me some mind-boggling stories, about their time working for the newspapers.

At this time, the USSR and USA I think hated eachother. There could've been another war. Apparantly, the US knew the whole time it was a hoax.

I'm not really buying it. Just another writer with a convoluted fringe theory. Especially bizarre is bringing in the Nazis.
Honestly, I'm not saying I have any idea what happened at Roswell, I just know that aliens didn't enter the picture for about 30 years.

Sorry to destroy the illusion there Vicar, but the footage is a fake - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_autopsyThe creators have gone so far as to admit it. There are also other inconsistencies that prove this as well, such as the coiled telephone cord (which was not introduced until the 1960's - over a full decade after the "footage" was based) Also, the fact that the wreck was based on a secret military project designed to listen in on USSR Atomic testing (see Project Mogul) - the idea of an alien wreck (which was theorized within days of the accident) took public attention away from what it actually was - makes the idea of the Nazis and Russians being involved is extremely convoluted. Really, it does sound as if the "journalist" who wrote this had his tin-foil hat firmly on his head at the time... Next they'll be saying that the craft was actually the mythical Nazi "V7" - a disk-shaped flying craft they supposedly designed as part of their "V" weapons line-up

Well, I was pretty sure the whole thing was a hoax. I should ask my Grandpa if he still has the article. Basically, the "real aliens" seen in the original video (according to Wikipedia, a few frames were of the original film were original) video were supposedly humans brutally morphed and altered to look like aliens. I'm not a believer of the incident. I believe that somewhere WAY out there, there is other life. Basically, the article explained about planted evidence. Whether the article is fact or fiction is a whole other story.

Probably faked. Yes, the US and USSR were at odds with each other during this time, but I fail to see how a fake flying saucer would send them to war.

Well, I think I have the answer (again).
It was the start of the cold war. The two countrys had kept building nuclear missles better than one another. After the UFO incident, the US knew it was Russia all along. Had they released the information, the USSR would probably get pretty dang mad - with all their nuclear weapons.
I think the article is true, but that's just me.

I'm not 100% certain that this line of discussion is really becoming for a Thomas forum chaps - we've had our fill of conspiracies/rumours/myths/hoaxes for the time being.
That said, the discussion is currently well behaved and rather more polite than the ones we've had to lock in the past. I'm keeping my eye on this thread mind, any gaffes and it will be locked post haste.
