I noticed that there wasn't a thread for such a great game. For those who don't know, Garry's mod is a Sandbox Game, where you can do pretty much anything you want. I actually got it not too long ago, so I'm still alittle bit of a n00b at it. Any one else got it?

I don't have a copy of it myself, but I've seen my younger brother play it, and the gameplay looks pretty interesting.

They have a driveable BTTF Delorean that lets you teleport to different areas. It looks cool.

My school has this game in the computer lab, along with Left For Dead, Team Fortress 2, and others.
EPIC WIN, EMERSON COLLEGE. Well played.

I heard rumors that stated that Gmod was an updated version of TF2. Am I mistaken?

You would be wrong. They're both based on Valve's source engine (which still looks good six years later), but Gmod has more to do with Half-Life 2 than anything else. That said, I like the amount of potential that this game offers, even if I spend most of it playing through HL2 and it's episodes. But I can't really think of anything to do with it. There's so many options, that I can't think of any! So I'll ask you guys; what's something interesting to do in Gmod?

Attach a balloon to said chair. 4. VERY QUICKLY, immediately after attaching the balloon, sit in the chair. 5. Fly through the air on your magical chair.

Alternately, boot up either Trouble in Terrorist Town or download items/SWEPS from the in-game ToyBox. Worth getting the Iron Man gloves

As for things to do download a bunch of random addons and create ultimate heck out of it. Or something I like doing is getting a whole bunch of addons from other games, say Pikmin and see what you can create, you might make something really cool, I've done it with Pikmin, Pokemon, Mario, Zelda and a whole bunch of other games. And when doing see I recomend using a custom map and if you can't find one use GM Construct, it has everything you might need, some water, tall towers where you can Sparta some NPC's, an underground area with an actual mirror, and a whole bunch more. And if you want to change the design just download some tree models and place them to block out the parts you don't want to be seen or make it a forest
