Users of the Sodor Island Forums,
As a Steamroller with a slight hatred of Railways, especially ones with annoying Blue Tank Engines, I am hoping that the railways on Sodor will be no more. I noticed this place is called 'The New Sodor Island Forums', but I've only seen railways discussed here.
Railways? RAILWAYS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Bah, enough with being polite. I am here to persuade you that roads are better than rails. Simply because, they are. The only thing related to Railways I admire is a Dr Beaching, who fulfilled my dreams of tearing up Railways. Except one thing, he only did part of the job.
I am here to tell you the future lies with roads, not old fashioned out of date railways...
Chant with me:
Railways are no good! Tear 'em up! Turn them into roads!
Bye,
George

If steam engines believed in spiritual things, wouldn't Dr Beaching be there Devil?
Railways rule!

Ah, but George, what about some of the various automobile accidents and wrecks you see on the roadways, especially around this time of year?
Railways forever!

George you should show a little respect for the rails, who takes care of the heavier loads? The railway.

George you should show a little respect for the rails, who takes care of the heavier loads? The railway. And on the mainland, it's US Road vehicles who have to handle the heavy loads, including engines. Pah! Such remarks...

Hey Goerge, if you hate railways so much, then why is there a picture of one in your signature?

Hey Goerge, if you hate railways so much, then why is there a picture of one in your signature? I let StanierJack have one thing before I had him locked up, and he wanted it left there. Now, George...didn't we send Sir Handel after you? ;D Don't make us do it again! Roads are rubbish, so good riddance! Huh! That Blue Puffball? I've sent him packing... Those schoolchildren were my driver's nephews, and it was his fault anyway...

There's another thing you've forgotten, George. Why are the roads so congested nowadays that you have to put up with traffic jams lasting several hours at least? Because you and that complete, utter nincompoop Beeching scrapped the branchlines! No wonder our transport system is up the creek!

Well George, given how the maintenance work on the South Wales Main Line between Swindon and Bristol Parkway does result in my journey to London this Saturday involves the train reversing at Bristol Parkway and Bristol Temple Meads, therefore increasing journey time between Newport (Gwent/South Wales) and London Paddington by a whole hour, I will give the benefit of the doubt...just this once. The rest of the time: RA1L\/\/AY5 RUL3Z 0K!

Don't forget the increase in gas prices! That's why some people don't drive as often.

A troublemaker? We roads may be getting expensive, but train fares are also on the increase! I rest my case for now...

You clumsy steamrollers are all alike. You flatten everything in your path and you cause traffic jams all over the roadways, and besides, steamrollers can't carry passengers and freight, so you're utterly useless. That's my two cents on the matter.
RAILWAYS FOREVER!!!

If there was an actual train station in my town instead of a track that just goes straight through, I would take the train and never have to bother with cars. Roads vehicles are dangerous, unreliable, and energy inefficient when compared to trains.

George, I dislike you for you crudness to the rails. I've always thought the men-in-celluoid-collars who own the road companies paid Beeching off for his famous "Axe." Thanks to you, I believe it!

George, you crafty devil. You knew those workmen had no clue with a level crossing when it came to removing rails because the Fat Controller hired cheep labour, didn't you?

That's my two cents on the matter. RAILWAYS FOREVER!!! Ugh! Such Nonsense... We build the roads, I know 3 lorries ready to carry loads, and Bulgy is willing to carry passengers. Roads vehicles are dangerous, unreliable, and energy inefficient when compared to trains. Pah! Inefficient? Huh! I'll show you! George, I dislike you for you crudness to the rails. I've always thought the men-in-celluoid-collars who own the road companies paid Beeching off for his famous "Axe." Thanks to you, I believe it! We are the future! Don't Be. We road vehicles are far superior! George, you crafty devil. You knew those workmen had no clue with a level crossing when it came to removing rails because the Fat Controller hired cheep labour, didn't you? Well, you can blame that railwayman for that. We were hired to make a road!

Darn, George, I'm a bit split, here. On one hand, Roads have brought us such joyous things as...
While there's plenty of speed on the Rails, too...
However...I really have little respect for steamrollers... one could say you're rather out of date. You've been mostly replaced with newer, smaller, more efficient and friendler Diesel models, anyways.
and you're no treat to be stuck behind. Caravans are faster than you are.
All things considered, I may have to side with...
