Not just the original 1981 classic but the entire series itself. DKC, DK64, everything! Such classics from SNES and 64, gotta love em.
HOWEVER, Donkey Kong Country was a childhood pain for me, hard but fun.

Donkey Kong 64 was one of my main games, I don't know why but playing as an ape with a wooden shotgun was too fun. DKC was fun but moving around in 3-D, exploring every little secret, and fighting those giant bosses was what made DK64 a winner in my book.

I've not played the Donkey Kong 64 game, but I enjoyed the Donkey Kong Country series, "Diddy's Kong Quest" in particular. Then there was Donkey Konga, which came with those barrel-shaped bongos. That game's got to be one of the coolest games ever!

HOWEVER, Donkey Kong Country was a childhood pain for me, hard but fun. It was pretty tough for me as well. I think DKC3 was the only one which I got EVERYTHING you could possibly get. All the coins, banana birds, etc. I even remember the special ending where the Queen banana bird drops an egg on King K. Roolinstein (was that his name?) and then you see Cranky Kong on water skiing in the background. I agree with Aidan, though. DKC2 was definitely my favorite. Maybe it's because I've always loved pirates, or maybe it's because the game was just so kickass. I had DK64, but I never beat it. I didn't really like the new Kongs for some reason. I don't see why they couldn't have used Dixie and Kiddy instead of their siblings, who had pretty much the exact same abilities. Multiplayer was pretty darn fun, though.
