This thread is about the wicked N64 game. This was my second N64 game. Although I enjoyed playing it, I found the later boss races quite difficult. This meant that by the time I completed the game it was six years on after I bought it! The music's fantastic though and the graphcs were bright and colourful. A possible rival to Mario Kart 64, perhaps?

Adventure mode and three diffrent types of vehicles did make it funner than Mario Kart, and unlocking T.T. is the hardest thing a player can do, but he's worth it. Wiz-pig was THE biggest pain to race, on both occassions.

OH man, Diddy Kong Racing...
Wizpig and T.T are total pains. T.T requires patience really but Wizpig for me involves alot of bad jokes about ham and bacon by yelling loudly at the screen. Still, awesome game for its time.

By the way, did anyone else figure out the acceleration trick when your in a car? You mean when you let go of the gas when hitting a boost pad? If not then do tell.

You continously tap the A button, you will constantly pick up speed, it's pretty easy.

I used to absolutely love this game! I never did unlock T.T., try as I might. He was the clock, right?

Yes, he was. I remember this game - spent a good portion of after school hours playing it. Completed it fully, then experimented with the secret codes. I also own the DS version, but was disapointed that the battle stages were omitted..... they were great party pieces. Ah well. Timber was easily the best character in the game. Though I am tiger bias.
