Does anyone else here like Linkin Park except me? They're my favorite band ever. I have both of their albums, and I'm planning to get Reanimation and Live in Texas. They are also going to be releasing a new album late 2006 or early 2007, but I don't know much about that yet.

My favorite songs are Points of Authority, From the Inside, and Forgotten. But I like all their music. I forgot to mention that I have Fort Minor's album as well, that one is good if your into rap & hiphop. I also saw on Wikipedia that Chester Bennington will be releasing a solo album next year.

Haven't heard much of their work, but In the End is a great song. Was it them who did Bring Me To Live with Evansence? (I heard somewhere they did...)

I heard a few songs by them this summer. Don't know the names of them. They were OK, IMO, but abit on the "Wild, Heavy and Crazy" side.

For all who are interested, information on the new album has been released. The new album will be called Minutes to Midnight, and will be released on May 15th in the US, and May 14th everywhere else.

I was a huge Linken Park fan while I was in school, even wore hooded tops of them often enough. I own most of there albums and they are pretty good even now. My favourite track is In The End plus it music video to it was awesome aswell. It will be intersting to hear what there new stuff will sound like.

I like Linkin Park they're not exactly my favorite band ever, but some songs like Shadow of the Day and One Step Closer are awesome. Didn't they do a remix with Jay-Z? I think it was called Numb/Encore.

They actually did a remix/mash-up album with Jay-Z, entitled Collision Course. It comes with a concert DVD as well. Personally I didn't really like it, but I think that's because I'm not a fan of Jay-Z. Or rap in general.
I'm pretty sure you can still find it, I'd check amazon.

Several months ago, I discovered my interest in Linkin Park. The first song I listened to was In the End. Since then, I have a chunk of Linkin Park songs on my mp3 player. My favorites are In the End, Somewhere I Belong, What I've Done and Leave Out All the Rest.

What's everyone think of Minutes to Midnight?
Personally I like it, but I don't think it holds a candle to any of their previouis material. I don't see why they had to change their sound so much, and I think it was kind of a step backwards for them.
Granted, I think it's still very good, but the album kind of putters out near the end. While the overall "rawness" works well with some of the heavier songs, some of the pop ballads suffer.
Also, I thought it was too political. While I dislike Bush as much as the next guy, I don't want to listen to a song that bashes him either. It's been done too many times and I'm sick of it. We get it. And I'm just not big on politics anyway, so I don't want to hear it in the music I listen to.
And lastly, the swearing. While I don't really mind it, I was a bit disappointed that they had taken that route considering their past releases. I remember an interview with Chester where he said something to the effect of "Vulgarity doesn't make anything special," and I agreed.
Anyway, that's my two cents.

What's everyone think of Minutes to Midnight? Its good, IMHO, but I like Meteora a bit more than Minutes to Midnight. It just has more songs I like .

Yeah, Meteora is my favorite album from them. There's not a song on there I don't like. It's been a while since I've listened to it, I think I may have to pop that'n in the player tomorrow.
