I suppose some of you might be interested in me bringing you up to speed with my current views regarding Higher Education. I'm giving it another chance ;D Yep! Goodbye daytime engineering job, hello to new lifestyle as a Media Student at Ravensbourne College Of Design & Communication, Greenwich, London. For the next 9 months, I'll be undertaking a Diploma in Media Production whereby I'll be taught more about it's various aspects. Including Photography, Animation, Sound Engineering, Broadcasting, etc; hopefully, I'll be taught a bit more about the business I intend to venture into. I've only been there for a few days, but so far all seems well. And from the looks of things, it could be a very interesting year!

All the best for you at Ravensbourne, Chris.
As for me, I'm going back to the London Academy of Media TV & Film to study a day of 'Directing the Actor' course which after some confusion as to whether it was going ahead or not is going ahead and it's on this Monday coming (should be interesting, as long as the trains behave then I should be okay).
Then I'm hoping to enroll into a 2 month foundation acting course at the Academy also, mainly to boost my confidence but who knows it could lead to somewhere (I doubt it, but it's worth a go). But that's not until October, but I'm waiting till I next get paid before I enroll as it cost nearly £900.

Starting from Monday, I will be studying a BA Honours in Performance at the University of the West of Scotland in Ayr. It also means that because I have an HND from college, I only two years there, instead of four. I think my three years at Coatbridge College have since helped me to grow as a person and I am looking forward to seeing what life brings to me next...

Afternoon, chaps. I have some news.
Yesterday, my University contacted me, claiming that my results for this year at Uni would be given out today, instead of next week, and that the results would be shown online. There were some problems with the online service this morning, but this afternoon I managed to gain access to my results. And, I'm proud to say, I have been awarded a BA (Hons) Combined Studies degree (Drama, Film Studies, Journalism and Media), Lower Second Class. I am pleased to say that, after four years of hard work and various problems, my efforts have finally paid off.

Headed this fall to the University of Alabama, on a full scholarship, to study chemistry and chemical engineering. I am signed up for relevant classes in both of these departments, accelerated elementary German, band, and a funny little course called Motion Picture History and Criticism. The reason for that last one is: 1. A fine arts credit must be incurred sometime between now and when I graduate. 2. Evidently, nothing I can do in the way of singing or playing an instrument is a fine art. (:S) 3. I've always had an offhand interest in film, so... what the heck? Might as well.

Well I've graduated High School this past June and now it's what do I do now? I had many choice from tech school to an art school in Charlotte. I wanted to go but I got cold feet at the last minute and decided to stay in my home time to be with my friends and help my dad a little more but I kinda feel as though I've made a huge mistake. Now that all my friend's have left for college and I don't feel like this Tech school is the right place for me I was thinking of my other options. My friend offered the chance for me to go to the school he goes too(another Tech school but better than the one I was going to attend) so I'm gonna take a tour there tomorrow. Also my sister has given me another chance to attend the Art School in Charlotte and I think I may take that one too. Charlotte is a beautiful place and I would like to branch out. It's time for me to leave the nest and make something of my self. Hopefully my dad will understand and my sister will be able to help him.

Today I graduate with my BS in Music Education. I am so excited. Its been a good run and I made so many friends and thank you SiF for being the place where I can share my Thomas thoughts and projects.
Please keep me in your prayers for I applied for a job at Southside HS where I served my internship. The students have lost their director and they all want me to get it as do the parents. Thank you!

Well, it finally happened. I haven't been able to visit the boards in a while, but back in May, after 4 short years and a lot of work, I finally graduated from New York University with a BFA in Film & TV Production. I'm now out of frying pan, and into the fire, with the hope of finding a job in the field I love still inside me, though the longer I go living at home, the more that hope turns to fear. Here's to starting real life. L'chaim!

Whilst I didn't get the job for the high school, I got a grad assistant ship with my school!
I guess I'll be here for another two years and then I'm off! Getting my masters will anable me to be able to teach college, but high school and middle school is where my heart is. The kids there are just plain fun.

I'm starting my first year of college on the 19th of this month (August), and I have been nervous about it since the summer of last year. This is mostly because of my high school nightmares. I'm planning to major in accounting, but at the same time, I still have a passion for visual arts. :I

Well something good happened to me today. My school is going to have an two hour delay due the cold weather. (a record low in my city by the sound of it.) Which mean that I wouldn't have to wake up at 5:30 in the morning and stand outside in the cold for about 10 minutes.

I'm currently in the second semester for my first year of college. Things have been going pretty well for me, having made the Dean's list by the end of my first semester, and I'm doing well in the current semester at the time of this post. Currently, I'm in the pre Telecommunications program with a minor in theatre, and I'll just say the first semester has already shown me how much I don't know about my fields of interest. The good thing is that I like the challenge, and I've learned some pretty neat stuff along the way. I'm hoping to work towards a career in entertainment, so wish me luck!

I'm in the second semester of my first year as well. I chose not to live on campus so it wasn't much of a transition. The only problem was that the school kept losing my paperwork. First I was supposed to have a full scholarship and they didn't tell me what papers I needed until an hour before it was due, then they forgot to mention orientation, and lastly they mixed up two of classes on the schedule. Once all that got straightened out everything was fine and I've been getting along happily with a major in English ever since.

Yesterday afternoon, I managed to beat my horrible freshman year, and now I have 3 1/2 months before I begin my sophomore year of college. The fall semester was average, and I did have pals from high school to keep me company but at the same time, I still had severe anxiety in my art history class. I hated the spring semester, considering I had two terrible classes (biology/biology lab and speech), and I'm still an outcast.
Although in psychology, the girl who sat beside me helped me cope with the semester and was the only person EVER (out of the peers I didn't know before college) this year for me to call a friend. I'm just glad this year is over. Never again with the 3 hour science labs...Please. :I
