Well, it's not really a ghost story. But there are always these strange creaks, and clangs in my house. I'm used to most of them, but I've been hearing some pretty weird ones that keep sounding like someone is walking around in my house. Sometimes i get so scared (while I'm home alone) that I don't even go back upstairs until my parents come back home.

One night i was walking home and i decided to take a shortcut along the railway tracks.
it was something i have done many times but this time as i was walking through a small cutting a saw the light of a train, hardly a worry as Queendsland railways runs coal trains all through the night so i hopped off the tracks and waited for the train to come.
As it got closer i heard the sounds of a steam engine and then it whistled as it went past, now i assumed that it was one of the histroical societies trains so i waved and lookad as the train went past then dissapeared round a bend.
Next day i rang up the steam guys and asked if they were running another train that i could be on, then i was told that no trains were running that night as the track was closed for repairs further down the line.
There are no reports of any trains haveing an accident on the line
Spooky.

That sounds remotely like Percy's ghost story in TBM 10...

Sometimes i get so scared (while I'm home alone) that I don't even go back upstairs until my parents come back home. This happens to me a lot. Normally, certain sounds happen around a certain period, so they could be natural (to do with pipes and stuff.) One particular one I hear is a sound like someone has just put their foot on the top step of the staircase. Normally, it's the cat, but last night the cat was in my room and the noise still occurred.

My dad says, since it's wintertime, the wood keeps expanding and contracting in the house, and that's why the noise is made. Or something like that.

I once joked about my Aunty's cat that had just died. I had to stay at her's that night and had asked if the ghost had visited. She said it had and i replied that i'd love to meet it. How stupid of me! That night, my door was shut and i could her this scratching noise outside my door. "Strange?" i thought as i knew she didn't have a cat anymore. What was worse was when something jumped on my bed!!! How i screamed......! Moral of the story is, Don't joke about the dead. You never know when they could visit you!

The cat. Only it wasn't alive. When i turned the light on there was nothing on my bed. But i heard it purring and its footsteps. Then felt it jump onto the bed at the bottom near my feet.

Something wierd happened to me last night. I was in my room doodling on the computer (Cyberfox) when my brother came in. He said 'Hello, *real name*' and went out, closing the door behind him, 'cos he knows he isn't allowed in my room when I'm in there (that was my rule ). However, as soon as he left, I heard some keys jingle behind me. Then, ' me-ow!', my friendly cat Tim walked up beside me. However, the bedroom window was firmly shut and there wasn't anywhere Tim could hide because I was in there all night. Suspi---cious!

Maybe he got in when your brother opened the door?

Something very creepy happened yesterday. As I came down the steps to my attic (after asking my dad a question) I think I saw a ghost. Or, part of it. I swear, as I came down, a I just saw a leg go into my bedroom. It was a person's leg, and it looked like it just walked in. It was pale, and I could see through it. Then when I came into the bedroom, I saw these bright lights in the corner. For a moment, I got really scared. But then I saw that it was just the PSP, which my brother left on in the charger. Still, I don't know how to explain the phantom leg. Spectral trick or ectoplasmic experience? You decide.

I'm always seeing and hearing weird stuff. I'm usually out of it, sleep deprived or driven mad by various animals/friends/exes/family members so I just brush it off, my mums the same. When she was training to be a nurse she'd be off on some errand and if anything out of the ordinary happened, she'd tell it where to go and carry on.

We've always had funny stuff happen in our house. Nothing I would really class as frightening - just funny little, niggling things. For example (and everything I say is true, cross my heart and hope to be scrapped My mum has always had an odd obsession with our staircase - we live in a first floor flat that was built, I don't know, maybe about 1930. Anyhow, my mum was (and still is) bothered about this part of the house. She always said it felt as if someone was there, watching her. I can't put any proof to this, as I never experienced it, but one evening we both got a bit spooked! I was in my room reading, and my mum was busy elsewhere, when we both heard the front door open. Now I say "open", but the fact is, neither of us heard any keys jangling, or anyone turning the handle. It was very strange - all the sounds of the street drifted very loudly up the stairs, just as if the door was wide open. Thinking it was my father, I went bounding out onto the landing to say hi (obviously I was particularly cheery that evening), but when I looked down the stairs there was no-one there. Not a thing out of place. When my dad eventually returned, both me and my mum asked him if he'd popped home for anything, but he strongly denies coming near the house all day. It was quite a weird experience. I won't even go into when things go missing in our place.

As much as I am a believer, only once has a ghost ever visited me. I think this happened somewhere around 2003, as my short-lived pet goldfish Antonio had died around that time. I was dressing when I saw something in my tank. It looked like a white, fluttery outline of a Globe Eyed Goldfish/Black Moore swimming down to the bottom of the tank. Even weirder, Trevor, the Black Moore took no notice of the phantom fish. He has never visited since. In 2005 Trevor died, however, he was polite and never bothered haunting me.

More reason to be scared of my staircase at home. Sat watching Five Go Mad in Dosert the night before last with my dad, then suddenly both hear "eekkkkSHHHHHHth!!" Followed by a spate of hissing noises.
Weird or what?
