I am hooked on Force Unleashed, it is GOOD. I'm having a blast tossing Stormtroopers into TIE Fighters. A childhood dream. I was about to ask is anyone playing Force Unleashed? Whats the best console to have? I'm thinking of getting a PS3 in a few months, I feel that is the better console to get! Thoughts?

I agree 100%. Sure, it's backward compatibility is lacking (I hate that) and it's reasonably more expensive, but it's main selling points are free Internet subcription and Blu-Rays! Here's a little presentation I came across on YouTube to help convince us further. Although I'm still pissed off that we (in Europe and Australasia) can't play PS2 games on PS3... As for the games I have, I started off with Grand Theft Auto 4 packaged with the PS3, a natural choice. Speaking of which, it's coming to PC next month. That's cool, but since it's apparent format is DVD, I might wait for it to be released on PC Blu-Ray (even though Blu-Ray drives can cost up to $400). My brother got Unreal Tournament 3, which I don't particularly care for (he really only purchased it so he could play with his mates who also have a PS3). The people in the game can't seem to shut up about 'Prime Node'. The same is true for Call Of Duty 4, which we have on both PC and PS3. I'm told that the quality is reduced on PS3, but the frame rate seems higher; it confuses me... My second game (COD4 is Dave's), is Buzz! Quiz TV. I love it. It's so innovative and fun, especially the online play! I recently made a quiz on MyBuzz! but I seem to be the only one to have played it, so I might get rid of it. I have found a good deal of MyBuzz! quizzes based off Thomas & Friends, and at least one official question in the game's Toons category. Dave (brother) also got a few games off Ebay, which don't carry any Australian, shall I say, signage. These are Virtua Tennis 3 (reasonably entertaining, but the soundtrack get's pretty annoying), FIFA '08 (don't really care for it since I dislike soccer), and NBA 2K7 (an interesting basketball game with funny dancing mascots ) Well, that's enuf out of me. Time to do some vacuuming!

Graphics are decent, though I can't really judge. But since the games are on Blu-Ray, that should, in theory, make them look a lot more crystal clear than the 360 and it's HD DVD's. So I'd say graphics are superior, but remember, graphics aren't everything. Mind you, Sony has come a long way since the original PlayStation, which was slammed for having attrocious graphics and lengthy loading times (compared to the N64), despite the fact it holds claim as the greatest video game console of all time. Here's an interesting tidbit to conclude. Blu-Rays have better quality and space than DVD's because they use blue/violet lasers, which have shorter wavelengths than red lasers on DVD's. Fascinating!

I'd say PS3, considering I got mine for 360 so I could clear the achievements. I also got the PS3 version for the Trophies coming out later. All in all, PS3 is great, no red ring of death here.

Amazon have the console for £294, (80GB) but play have it on a deal which includes Force Unleashed which is £309.99, practically a bargain!!!

Well it's decided, I'm ordering my PS3 2moro with the Force Unleashed, I really can't wait either, it's the story arc in the story I can't wait to see, also the idea of throwing Stormtroopers around is mighty compelling too

Man, what EA Games did to Spore is horrible. www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2845,2330377,00.asp I don't know if this is the right place to share the article. But..

Interesting, interesting... It sounds pretty harsh to only be able to install a game 3 times before having to renew your license or whatever. I may get Red Alert 3 next month, so I'd better take care when I install it. I've always been fine with CD/DVD keys. It's cumbersome, but it's better than other methods. Regarding Jack Thompson's retirement; I'm not American, so I didn't know about him or his tirade against video games, until one reviewer commented that he could have helped create Dark Castle, as an effort to get kids outside. If that's not enough, he has made it onto ScrewAttack's Top Ten List of Douchebags. His spot will surprise you... OK, I'm done.

Well, the real problem with having only three installs and not getting back an install credit is. If your the kind of gamer who likes to keep building up your rig which means you reinstall windows a number of times. You'll need to by a new copy or get on the phone with EA after three installs. This isn't really a problem for a game like Spore, but in the future it may matter if EA releases something more graphically intense. As the article states also means graphically intense games using this anti piracy methodology can't be used for benchmarking purposes.

I'm so happy, as Rhodri has said Jack Thompson is gone! Rockstar is no longer in fear of his stupidity.
Picking up RA3 as well next month, so stoked.

Well, on my Apple Laptop, it came with a game called MarbleBlast Gold. A very simple game where you are a marble, and have to roll your way around the levels. But, it can surprisingly difficult. If you do not have the game, I would definately recommend downloading it for free, and if it's already on your computer, give it a whirl. But for those of you who do have it: has anyone managed to get past Level 35 Hard? I find it simply too difficult, and wonder if anyone has the secret to getting past it. Not one to toot my own horn, but I finally beat this level, which I've been stuck on for 2+ years.

I have a game similar to that. It's called Ballance. There are fewer levels but each of the 10 levels are surprisingly difficult and long. I'm only on level 6 or 7.

Ok, at the moment I'm playing Silent Hill 5, if anyone who has the game and are up to or past where I am then if you can please help. I've just finished the Sewers and am on my way to Dr Fitch, However.....
I fear I might have to replay the whole of the Police Station AND the Sewers just for the 'chance' of obtaining another health drink.
I got battered by a nurse in the Hotel and she took alot of health items off me.
I've had to reload the game about 6 or 8 times at the end of the Sewers because the game expects me to be able to defeat 3 Needlers AT THE SAME TIME and then a Siam with only nearly half a health bar and 5 shotgun rounds and a few pistol rounds, lots of hand to hand meleeing. Loaded it a million times and just about managed it. Thing is, now I have '0' supplies of any kind and a slither of health, character limping around, and the Game expects me to make it past the two Dogs/Felrals with there cat quickness. I'm doomed, unhappy, naffed off and feel there isn't any hope of getting through the game. I need ammo and health, it's a joke.
The game only ever gives you a few ammo shots at a time and usually it is for the monster around the corner, health drinks are few and far beyond.
So, how do I get through this without reloading, bearing in mind reloading will only be me going through it all again in the hope I can do better somehow.

Recently, I found a copy of a game called "Dust: A Tale of the Wired West" on eBay. It's from CyberFlix, the same company behind "Titanic: Adventure Out of Time", although it's a Wild West adventure with an interesting plot involving a Native American tribe, and Billy the Kid serves as one of the villains.

*Bump!*
What I'm about to say my shock a few people here who know me well enough, but here goes...
During my time away from here, I got myself a PS3, and I absolutely heart it. Since I got it, I've spent a ridiculous amount of time on it... I know, I'm as shocked as you are.
Games-wise, I have Street Fighter IV, Soul Calibur IV and Grand Theft Auto IV at the mo' (plus I have Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix downloaded from PSN, and have played Devil May Cry 4 which I borrowed from a friend.) Always looking for more games, so if anyone has any recommendations, that'd be appreciated.
Oh, and if anyone has any of the above games and can go online, my PSN ID is cb140988 if they should fancy an easy victory.

PS3s are the win!
The only games I have are Rachet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of World War Two (good for those into combat flight-sim games and aviation history), as well as two games from Koei, Dynasty Warriors 6 (not the Empires version) and Bladestorm. The latter I was fairly dissapointed with, assuming it to be a European-medieval version of Dynasty Warriors. However, there is none of the satisfaction that comes from plowing into an enemy platoon and taking it out with one Special Attack. There's not even all that much control over your character's actions. You play as a mercenary who can take control of any troops he likes, only the actions are very limited, and you can only succeed in your goals if you are leading a unit of soldiers. Otherwise I'd say it's a relatively alright game with some good graphics and soundtrack. But not a game for lovers of history.
Anyone else played any of the games mentioned above?

Hey, I was just wondering here...
Does anybody remember Donkey Kong 64? If so, then you rock. That game practically dominated my childhood. Sadly, I was never able to get past the Frantic Factory level... stupid jack-in-the-box thing... Other than that, the game was vraiment cool.

I'm hooked on a old cult classic PC game called The Neverhood Cost me 37 bucks it did, but it's so worth the money. I'm waiting for Mega/Sega CD to come in the mail, it's in box too! Hopefully will include Sewer Shark or something, at the least. The game I've been actively over the summer is NiGHTS into Dreams for the Sega Saturn, it turned out to be my favorite game ever. It proves games are an art form. It is the Earthbound to my Video Game collection, I can't recommend it enough.
