I played a lot of percussion when I was in school Bells, xylophone, tube bells, timpani, snare drum, various cymbals, etc. My Grandma also taught me piano and double keyboard organ, and I did a stint playing a harp for a short time Always wanted to play a clarinet... ~Elizabeth

I can play the keyboard. With one hand. I don't use sheet music though, I play by ear. I can play: -Thomas Opening/Ending themes -The danger theme heard in "Thomas & The Trucks" -The Breakdown Train theme I need to learn how to play with my left hand now.

I play the tuba mainly in my school's concert and marching bands. I take guitar lessons as well, learning slowly but surely. I play a little bit of piano. It's note by note and not the professional way. I use it to find themes like ones from Thomas and I put those on either of the other instruments earlier stated. I've been able to play a little bit of Edward and Henry's theme's, but only on piano. The best thing I've learned to play on my Tuba is the bass refrain of Crazy Robo from Sonic Adventure.

I used to play a violin and piano, however I gave these up years ago. I now however, play on my keyborad and have been able to play a number of themes from Thomas the tank engine, all mainly by ear.
Some include:
-Henry's theme -Gordons' theme -Edward's theme -Stepney's theme -Duck's theme -Repairs theme -A little bit of the Narrow Gauge theme -Theme from the Night Train song
All the above can be played with both hands and are very close sounding to the original music.
I am learning others as I speak now.

Here's my list:
Piano Synth Other keyboard instruments Guitar Bass Drums Other percussion Violin Viola Cello Recorder Drum machines (does that count as an instrument?)
I can play all of those, honest! I'll admit I haven't played orchestral string for four years, but I'm not too bad on everything else. I even managed to figure out a bit of the piano bit of "Bohemian Rhapsody" without any references!

I used to play the violin when I was at school in the late 90s/early 00s. Nowadays, of course, I play the keyboard, and I've posted many of my arrangements/recordings of Thomas/TUGS themes as well as other shows in the User-Created Music thread.
(I'm buying a new keyboard soon so I can start on my own arrangement of the Japanese Takeshi's Castle theme.)

I used to play the guitar alot when I was in high school, I would play songs that I wrote up or some of my favourite Thomas tunes like 'Thomas' Anthem' and 'He's a Really Useful Engine'. Besides the guitar, back when I was in elementary school, I used to play the recorder until I graduated, I haven't picked it up since. I still play the guitar and I can play almost every Thomas song from every season.

This was our quartet, "The Seasoned Bones". We played in a mall and played several tunes that were New Years or Christmas themed. There weren't many people there because when we recorded this, it was 9pm on a school night. What do you guys think? I'm the Bass Trombone on the far right.

I too play guitar. I started playing about a year and a half ago. What I love about guitar is that even if you can't play that well, it's really fun just messing about with it. Throwing it into alt. tunings, seeing what you can do with different picking styles, and using capos and slides. It all leads to some interesting stuff at the end of the day.

I play the piano with both hands, both by sheet notes (with double something and not by chords) and by ear
I also can play the most Brass instruments, although I'm best at baritone, eb horn and euphonium

What instruments does everyone here play? I play piano, bass clarinet, and learning the electric bass! I've changed a bit since I started this thread. I can play piano both hands using chords, sheets, or just by ear. I've dropped the bass clarinet. I hated that thing in my last year of band I've been playing the electric bass for a few years now, and can play with chords (easy but awfully boring), tabs, and by ear (to an extent). My newest stint started about a year ago, and is the upright bass/contrebasse! This is very fun to play, and I love doing a walking blues line on it!

When I was a Kid I used to take guitar lessons, acoustic guitar of course, I went through at least three different teachers - one said that I had potential to go somewhere with music. But come high school, I seemingly gave it up. I tried to get back into it with an Electric Guitar, but sadly that of course went nowhere as I seemed to eager into Metal music that I just wanted to get that cool sound - just to clarify that I haven't really touched it since, but after reading through some old notes I have that I've begun to remember how the notes went.
Nowadays I mainly try or attempt to sing, even though I don't have a microphone and wouldn't even attempt to sing through one. I always wanted to try keyboard, as when I was at High School we used to share one keyboard between two people and I just felt like I wasn't learning anything.

Piano, Euphonium, keyboard, have played baritone, own (and can play) an eb horn and a cornett, I also can play a couple tones on a guitar (I don't think I can play guitar).
On the piano/keyboard I can play: Fur Elise Thomas the tank engine and friends theme Duck's theme The Breakdown train theme Stepney theme James' theme Something that sounds a little familiar to The flying kipper theme and Gordons theme
On the euphonium I play what I get from the brass band, but I can play Postman Pet, Narnia theme and Flåklypa Gran Prix themes (I think you got another name for it ) on all my brass instruments

I mostly just play the violin, but I play in my school's orchestra as well as a community orchestra. I've been trying to play themes from Thomas by ear, and so far I am sort-of able to play
Edward's Theme Gordon's Theme Duck's Theme The Viaduct Theme Donald and Douglas' Theme The ending theme from Henry's Forest and All at Sea and others.
I've also been trying to convince my orchestra teacher to let us play something from Thomas (without much luck).
