Iv been to see it too, I thought it was great but I personally dont think it was good as Raiders and Last Crusade I loved seeing the Ark again, was a fan moment indeed, Harrison looked great, especially loved the end, where Mutt picked the hat up and Indy snatched it back, hint for more as if to say the stories not over......
I wasn't as keen on the story, what I loved with the past Indy's was the supernatural side, Ark of the Covenant, Holy Grail Shankara Stones, the fact it involved Aliens kinda detracted slightly for me,
Finally what I missed was I never really felt Indy was in real danger, apart from the atomic bomb bit, there was no crushing walls type danger!
I would give it an 7/10 from me

Personally, I too have seen the new Indiana Jones film, although I thought the ending seemed to let it down. It was more original and far-fetched. Sort of off the beaten track from what is the norm of the Indiana Jones films.

Nicholas your views seem to echo mine slightly, I think I need to see it again, but personally I do think it could have been better, but the good news is that, Harrison Ford has stated he would like to make another Indy. Indiana Jones and ....... we will just have to wait and see

I've heard something about the future Indy movies the focus could be on his son Oh NO!!!!! I really hope not i thought the point was that Indy was to carry on, hence the ending, how as Indy Junior was about to put on the hat, indy took it from, making it quite clear that Harrison is still INDY!!

I've seen the new Indiana Jones film, and I must admit I really enjoyed. And in my opinion it's kind of a mixture of both Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade.
I also thought during some of the bits of the film that they added parts of Henry Jones Sr to Indy Jr, I don't whether anyone noticed that but I remember from some of the parts of Crusade where Indy did something he thought he great and his Dad would look at him in a cross way and I noticed Indy Jr did that with Mutt especially during the Bike scene parts.

My vote for all-time favourite Indiana Jones film has to be Raiders of the Lost Ark , though I've got to be honest, Last Crusade isn't that far off. And as I haven't said anything about Crystal Skull yet, I did enjoy it, especially seeing the Ark again and those pictures of Indy's dad and Marcus , but there's no way it can beat those two if I'm honest. Now Temple of Doom is a good film, but I can't put it on the podium of my 3 favourite Indiana Jones films, simply because of Kate Capshaw's performance. P.S. I got the Lego version of Indiana Jones on PS3 for my birthday today.

I saw Kingdom of the Crystal Skull several weeks ago. I enjoyed it but it's not my favorite of the three Indiana Jones films. The whole ending with the aliens kinda ruined my day. But nevertheless, I still liked it. My rating is an 8/10. But nothing beats my favorite of the three, The Last Crusade. I used to consider the Temple of Doom as my favorite but the Last Crusade is so much better.

I saw the new Indy film a couple of weeks ago myself. The film is entertaining from beginning to end, but the whole science-fiction element of the movie really degrades it. When I saw the flying saucer rose from the ruins, I seriously felt that it ruined what made Indiana Jones special (same with the CGI effects). However the new film is not all that bad. It's not my favorite of the Indiana Jones films, but I do like it. Maybe I should just consider it a stand-alone film and not an official part of the series.

I didn't mind aliens so much (that universe already has Hindu and Christian deities, so aliens aren't too silly) - I just wish they'd been a bit more subtle about it. We didn't need Moses to hand the Ark over to Indy, we didn't need Shiva to personally come down and smack the bad guys up and we didn't need to see the Joneses fighting John Cleese to get the Holy Grail. So why do we need an actual spaceship, other than so Spielberg and Lucas can be all, "Look what we can do with CGI! The same thing you've seen in every summer blockbuster since 1994!"
Ditto the atomic explosion - it didn't seem to actually advance the plot in any way, nor did it seem too logical. Were the US Army planning to destroy Hangar 51? Why did they give the town water and electrical supplies? Oh, also, Spielberg, re the whole lead lining thing - you know it's not like vampires and consecrated ground, right? I mean, you know that the heat of an atomic explosion can literally vapourise lead, right?
Despite the impression I give here, I actually really enjoyed the film. I'm just a cynic who likes complaining.

Well I saw it again tonight, and my opinion has changed from thinking it, pretty good, to just good, the whole swinging thru trees made me cryinge! and Indys line after the Aliens have gone, 'Where have they gone, space' my friend thought it was hillarious!
I don't know, I have been watching some great films recently i.e 'Once Upon A Time In The West' and im becoming overally critical I guess if films, oh well, I do personally hope they make another film, but please, NO MORE CGI lol

i went and saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull the night it came out and i loved it. i felt that Indy and Marion getting married was a nice way to finish off the film (if it going to be the last one). i'm currently trying to get the young indiana jones box sets and then i can have a proper Indiana Jones marathon note - if you watch the 4 films you need to watch The Temple of Doom first as it is set in 1935, withe Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1936, The Last Crusade in 1938 and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in 1957 -edit- so i came across this on msn today entertainment.uk.msn.com/movies/news/Article.aspx?cp-documentid=149748161>1=61502now i'm kind of mixed over my opinion of Indiana Jones putting the hat back on for a 5th adventure. in a way i would like to see a fifth film although i still think Kingdom of the Crystal Skull ended the series off on a high. i guess we'll just have to wait and see

In this poll, I voted for my favourite all time film, Raiders of the lost Ark. I have always loved this film ever since I saw it when I was young. I do believe this be the strongest of all (dare I say) four Indiana Jones films. I even would go so far to say, that Raiders could just be a stand alone film and still get the amount of attention the whole series has now.
But coming back to the point of a fifth Indiana Jones film. If they do make a fifth one, I will not be best pleased. They were scrapping the barrel making a fourth one, which had a very weak story. The use of Aliens in Indiana Jones did not work and really let the side down. Of course in every film before that, they had used the artifacts to include the supernatural. The difference between the supernatural and Aliens is, the supernatural was connected to religion: Ark contained the tablets of stone which the ten commandments, inscribed upon, The stones from Temple of Doom, connected to the thuggee Indian cult and of course the Holy Grail in the last crusade. All of which had strong plots and worked. So therefore I would say to Harrison Ford, George Lucas and Steven Speilburg (Who didn't want to do a another Indiana Jones in the first place), it's time for Indy to hang up his hat and put his whip down. And no, I don't want a Mutt Williams spin off film, that would be absolutely awful.

(blows dust off)
I wasn't aware of the series until the fourth movie came out. I saw the third movie on TV during that time and thought it was very exciting. I did try the second one, though it didn't interested me, though that was a long time ago. With the fifth coming, what do you guys think of it?

Funnily enough you mentioning the fifth one, because I'm hoping to go and see it next week. After I've gone through the other four first. I know there's many YouTubers who are already humming and haring about whether its all this Woke Crap and etc, some who've had first screenings of it have had their say (none which I've seen as I want to judge Dial of Destiny for myself first). Some Critics from the cannes festival have apparently downplayed the film but praised Harrison Ford's reprisal of Indy. But I don't pay much to Critics because they downplay things that suck, and yet you watch it yourself and think its pretty good and vice-versa. But however this one turns out for the masses like myself. One thing is for sure. you can't blame George Lucas this time because he had nothing to do with the Fifth outing of Indiana Jones. However it'll definitely be a case of watching Harrison don the Hat and wield the Whip for one last time.

I'm still deciding weather to see this new one myself. Disney have had an iffy record with tier Star Wars so same could be happening here. I am looking for reviews to decide but might have to make a final decision in the last minute. Crystal Skull was terrible but the question is, is this one better or worse. Rise of the SKywalker was dreadful as it catered for the angry fan boys. "You want less Rose? You got it. You want Rey to be related to an existing character? You got it. And we've also brought back the big bad from the Star Wars movies you loved the most." I can see this Indiana Jones being Disney's way of saying "This Indiana Jones film is going to be just like the one from your childhood. We have the desert setting. We have Sallah back and no Mutt." Even if I don't see it due to bad reviews, there's always Disney Plus as I won't be wasting time at the cinema if it's bad. I think I should put this here in case this turns out to be true but I think I know what's going to happen in the end Spoiler The Phoebe Waller-Bridge character will take up the mantle of Indiana Jones as Harrison Ford retires from it. Ford is 80 now and if Disney want to continue with the franchise then someone else will have to take over. Hollywood seems to like strong female characters these days.
Also in the trialer Indy is having a retirement party. I'm ure we all know what happens in cop shows when someone announces he's retiring just before his last case.
