Two more came to me today:
- Grandstand: Never watched the programme, but always loved the music. Haven't seen it for years; only remembered about it when I heard it on Phoenix Nights (track 6, nobhead!)
- Star Trek: the Next Generation: Dad's always been a big fan. Again, I was never that keen, but I liked it for the music

Most of my favourites have been said before, so I'll not list those, but my favourite themes right now are the two boukenger songs especially the end theme, "On the Road." Its a pitty that the English translation doesn't quite fit, but there are enough of them to seem like you know what you are singing, anyway here are the links to the full versions;
Opening Theme;
On the Road;

I absolutely LOVE the theme tune for the American version of The Office. It's phenom.
I also enjoy the "We Are!" opening from One Piece. Both the original and Funimation's English version. Just gets stuck in my head every once in a while.
And with the release of The Great Discovery, "Thomas, You're the Leader!" has also been on replay in my head.

No particular order but these all had great openers- Bucky O'hare Postman Pat Moomins (end credits song too) The Famous Five (1978) Thundercats The New Adventures of Jonny Quest He-Man The New Adventures of He-Man (Closing Credits version, as the voice overing cuts into the opening sequence and the guy who plays Adam was terrible) The Animals of Farthing Wood The X-men and Spiderman shows from the early-mid 90's Black Beauty Batman the Animated Series Star Treck Voyager Doctor Who-the more playful version introduced with Sylvestor McCoy, though I prefer the movie version over it and this one too when Sonya gets to it at 1.20- King of the Hill Kim Possible Albert the Fifth Musketeer Tugs Thomas ( not the roll call one ) Red Dwarf The Tick (original) Last of the Summer Wine Blackadder II credits The Wombles Ewoks (the second version) Monster Rancher The Visionaries Gargoyles The Rescue Rangers Lilo & Stitch Darkwing Duck Pinky and the Brain Animaniacs The Raccoons Conan the Adventurer (with "FEEL THE POWER!" addition of course, cuz the original just wasn't manly enough )

Ahh, TV themes, where do we begin? There are so many great themes, just off the top of my head; Thomas the Tank Engine (obviously and of course the old one), Doctor Who, Hockey Night in Canada (the old one, now used for The NHL on TSN), DuckTales, Animanicas, Pinky & the Brain, South Park, The Office (US version), Tugs, Shining Time Station, andWallace & Grommit should make a good start.

Some commonality with others in this thread:
Thunderbirds (original) Fireman Sam (original) Thomas the Tank Engine (original)
And a number of others that I've not seen mentioned:
Firefly Blake's 7 Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman The Animals of Farthing Wood Around the World with Willy Fog The Gingerbread Man (the 90's stop motion one with Andrew Sachs)
