Never been much of a TV person outside of Thomas, and I only watch a couple of shows.
So Thomas and TUGS are obviously things, Avatar is interesting but I never really got into it, I was into Merlin briefly... other than those, not a ton. One show I will highly recommend is The Chosen, which is also available online. It's the largest crowdfunded project in history, and production of a 3rd season is underway. It's essentially a retelling of the life of Jesus through the people he impacted while on earth, notably his disciples. Although it does add a fair bit which wasn't in the Bible, it still sticks closely to many of the stories and messages of the original text, and I find it to be a really great show. I find it particularly interesting in the way it portrays Jesus as a very human character: I hate it when adaptations of the Bible make him some kind of angelic figure who doesn't make jokes and just doesn't feel very alive.
As much as I talk about religion somewhat tentatively here (and I certainly don't want to stir up any trouble), I would really recommend giving it a watch, it can be enjoyed by people of all faiths and by atheists. For someone whose never been a TV fan outside Thomas/TUGS, this is the first show I've watched where I really felt "yeah, TV's not all bad".
When I was a child, I loved Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, and Postman Pat in addition to Thomas, but I don't feel any of their current day counterparts match the originals, particularly with Bob the Builder. Thomas always was the main thing, and I wouldn't change that any day.
