Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, best fighting game ever created.
Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat are just being abused these days but Street Fighter 4 will be taking names when it comes out. All the Dragonball Z fighters are to easy and I usually complete everything in a day. Soul Calibur is fun, 4 being the best. Tekken and King of Fighters are good because they haven't hit the mainstream as much.
Super Smash, Melee, and Brawl all did pretty well for me. Wondering what Nintendo will do next...

I'm also looking forward to Street Fighter 4. All the famillier characters are there plus we get extra characters for the game. Those who weren't playable for the arcade. and it's all in 3D

There's something about the massive crossover aspect of Super Smash Bros that makes it rather appealing to me.

I've got three favorite fighting games...
The Mortal Kombat series Super Smash Brothers Tekken (especially the first one)
I played these games numerous times when I was younger. I think I may still have both Super Smash Bros. and Tekken, actually.

Tekken is a good series, one of the greats from the past. Of course Super Smash is always going to be famous for obvious reasons.
Speaking of, any wishes for the next Smash game if/when they decide to make it?
Fingers crossed for more Star Fox stuff and another F-Zero Playable character.

Funny you should mention that... It is a fairly old one though. If I could change it, I'd replace Groudon with the Pokemon Trainer. And find some more characters to fill in the missing spaces. Note that I have my reasons for the characters provided.

*Bump*
Picked up Tekken 6 the other day. I'd been eagerly anticipating it for months, and I'm happy to say, it doesn't disappoint.
I'll get the bad stuff outta the way first. The Campaign Scenario mode could have been better. While it is a nice distraction, it can get a bit boring and repetitive after a while. Still, if you wanna get some money together to customise your fighter, that's your best bet. Loading times are an issue as well. Even if you choose to install the game onto the HDD, it still takes quite a while to get going. While it's not a huge deal, it does affect the pace somewhat.
All that aside, it's still a solid fighting game. The gameplay is as sweet as ever, the graphics are nice (if a bit dated), the soundtrack is good and multiplayer is especially awesome. The customisation option is pretty robust as well. Plus, with about 40 characters, the biggest roster in the series' history, what you have is the most fun, most complete entry in the Tekken series yet. A must for fighting fans.
Oh, and while the online mode isn't perfect, I'd be up for a game if anyone else happens to have it.

I'm getting Tekken 6 foir my birthday and as a Tekken fan I'm looking forward to getting it. It does look very good. Newcharacters look good as well especialy the big fat one who seems inspiered by the new one from Street Fighter 4
I hope Tekken 6's final boss isn't too hard. Tekken 5's was. He had a move that did alot of dmage to you and if you didn't have much left you're out.

Been playing a lot of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom lately. Still rather surprised it managed to get a western release, and still very thankful for it. For those of you familiar with Marvel vs. Capcom, it's the same deal here. You still form a team of 2 characters, and it's still completely OTT and barmy... but of course, there is hidden depth in there if you actually take the time to learn it.
So, hands down, best fighting game on the Wii (and yes, that includes Smash Bros.) though if you're gonna play it, I'd recommend using a Classic Controller, GameCube pad or Arcade Stick. The Wii Remote just isn't suitable for games like this.

Anyone knows any fighting games coming out soon? I waiting for one day a fighting game with a decent enough Create-A-Fighter mode built in to come out. The only ones out there are the Smackdown games (which I get bored of after a while) and Soul Calibur IV (which I couldn't get into much). Here's hoping it's included in the next Mortal Kombat, Dragonball Z Budokai, or Tekken game.

Super Street Fighter 4 is coming out soon which looks very good. It has extra fighters in and the whole cast of Street Figter 2 (the mothr of all fighting games) will be in it.

There are currently rumours doing the rounds that Capcom and Namco will be working together to bring us another addition to the Capcom vs. series... what's even more surprising is that it'll be done in 2 games... Capcom will be working on Capcom vs. Namco, which will use the Street Fighter IV engine, while Namco will be working on Namco vs. Capcom, which will use the Tekken 6 engine, thus pleasing everyone on both ends of the spectrum. Personally, if the rumours are true... I'll be looking forward to the Capcom game. It'd actually be pretty sweet to see Jin Kazama and Ryu going toe-to-toe... though, I would be rather skeptical of the Namco game. Don't think a Hadoken would be much of a threat if you could just sidestep past it. We'll find out whether or not this rumour is true in the coming months. But it does sound very interesting.
Well, it looks like the rumours were true all along. Street Fighter X Tekken was announced at Comic Con, where actual gameplay was shown with Ryu squaring off against Kazuya, with a little help from Chun Li and Nina. And you can see it all here!
And while you're at it, have a look at these screens
And the debut trailer, too. Go on! Personally, I think it looks pretty freakin' sweet! The Tekken characters look awesome in the SFIV style, and oh man, the possilbe matchups... *drools* Defo can't wait to see more of it... and when the time comes when I can get my hands on it... oh man... Namco will also be working on Tekken X Street Fighter, which will use the Tekken engine. It'll be interesting to see how THAT turns out. Wow... Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the new Mortal Kombat, and now this... looks like fighting games are back, and they mean business!

I can think of one good match up for Tekken x Street fighter. Law Vs Fei Long the battle of the Bruce Lee inspirations ;D I am also looking forward to it as I am a huge fan of Street Fighter and Tekken. I hope Heihachi will appear and I wonder who the final boss will be
It's funny you should mention new Mortal Kombat. it has a very interesting storyline. Basicly it's a retelling of the original three but different things will happen as Raiden has been told of his future self (one in the latest game) that something bad will happen

One of my newest fighting game is Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 and it's epic as Hell! I just beat the crap out of the CPU controlled enemies like there's no freaking tomorrow, i've unlocked all the playable characters but i still need to collect all the playable mobile suits.
My prime favorite MS's are: 00 Raiser, Reborns Gundam, Unicorn Gundam, Musha Gundam, Musha Gundam Mk II and Knight Gundam.
I rate this game 10/10
