Due to the announcement of new characters for Thomas and Friends Series 13 [please do not discuss here, by the way], I've realised that a character due to appear in the SiF Collaboration will need renaming. Specifically, the little chap below!
[originally named]KEVIN, an uppity little mauve purple engine that can’t stick to doing one job, and always finds something new to do instead of finishing the job he started.
Suggestions will be taken until January 1st, and entries are to be posted here in this thread. Each member is allowed to make a maximum of 2 entries. Episodes concerning this character have already been written, and you can read about the two episodes currently including this character in the spoiler box below. All entries will be considered without favouritism or discrimination.
KEVIN GOES TO WORK
New engine Kevin arrives, and Thomas is to show him how to do his first job, loading coal trucks and shunting them into the station. Thomas leaves him to it, but after he leaves, Emily chuffs by on her way to collect flour. Kevin asks to do the job, and Emily lets him. On his way, however, he meets James taking a passenger train. After asking, James lets Kevin take his coaches, but when he arrives at the station, he finds Thomas. Thomas asks what Kevin is doing pulling coaches. Kevin explains, and remembers all the jobs he was supposed to do. Kevin takes the coaches, while Thomas goes to shunt the coal, and then, together they collect the flour and take it to Knapford. Thomas is proud of Kevin, and now Kevin knows he should finish one job properly before finding something new to do.
JAMES AND THE FLOUR TRUCKS
James returns from his work one day. When he is settling down, Thomas and Percy leave to take the mail, but then the Fat Controller arrives on Kevin. He asks James to find some flour trucks and take them to the bakery. Only Thomas, however, knows where they are, and he has taken the mail, so James will have to track them down. James agrees to do it, but the Fat Controller tells James that Kevin is to help him find and move all of the trucks. James doesn’t like the idea at first, until he realises he can show off to Kevin. James puffs to the Docks, but there are no trucks of flour there, as Salty says. Kevin suggests Knapford Yards, but James knows that Kevin is often coming up with silly, new ideas every minute, so ignores Kevin. He tells him he is more experienced, more in charge and more splendid. James goes to the flour mill, but Molly tells them it is closed. Kevin suggests Knapford Yards again, but James says Wellsworth is a better idea. James and Kevin go there. Edward tells them there are no trucks there either. James is feeling silly, so agrees to Kevin’s idea to go to Knapford Yards. Sure enough, the flour trucks are there. James and Kevin get dusty, but do the job. James is pleased he listened to Kevin, and both engines feel really useful.
Feel free to post your entries below. Please don't make entries the same as any existing names for characters in the TV series, The Railway Series or the SiF Series. Names are to be male, and also, Kevin is Standard Gauge. It's also worth noting that, while not clear in the picture, he has slight stubble.
Many thanks for your time and contributions, everyone! ;D
