If i recall Mewtwo was suppose to be in Brawl but was taken out and left in as dummy data. If i remember the characters that were turned into Dummy Data for Brawl were. Mewtwo Dixie Kong Plusle And Minun Roy Dr. Mario Toon Zelda/Shiek Any thoughts on these leftout characters? Would 41 Characters be too much for Brawl you decide.

41 characters wouldn't be too much if most of those weren't clones.
Was anyone else as disappointed as I was with Donkey Kong's final smash? Since Diddy's was his peanut guns, I was expecting Donkey to whip out his coconut cannon. I realize Jungle Beat was a more recent title, but come on.

Yeah Mewtwo should have stayed at least. Dr. Mario should have been an alt. costume like Overalls Wario. And I think the "Toon Shiek" we would have gotten would have been Tetra. That would have been cool but Toon Zelda would have been way too much of a clone.

I desperately wish they didn't keep ROB. Not only was he not even IN any game but Mario Kart DS. the games you used him for were nigh-unplayable. The Starfox Roster is fine as it is. You have the hero, his best pilot, and the villain. (Andross, like Ridley would be too big). I detest Krystal, so forget her. My main gripe is the trophies. For Zelda all they have is Twilight Princess & Wind Waker. Not even an Octorock trophy (I'm so hungry I could eat one! ). Plus, Mother & Fire Emblem, series' that got two representatives and are popular in Japan, get a paltry nine trophies apiece. Pokemon got more than Mario, Nintendo's flagship character! I suppose that's because Pokemon makes more money. Back to who should replace ROB, it's a no brainer, either. Black Shadow (And not just because I'm biased). F-Zero needs another representative. I don't even want to get started on who should have at least appeared as an assist trophy.

Frankly, this whole "Ridley can't be in Brawl because he's too big" argument is pointless and null. I mean, Olimar shouldn't have been in Brawl because he was too small...and yet he was. If someone "too small" can be resized, so can someone "too big".
And frankly, I'd rather play as a giant space Pterosaur than a cartoon version of another character any day.

AssassinI think the little Robot deserved his spot. He's a good original (not a clone) character, and he's actually more important to Nintendo's history in America than most people think. Without him Nintendo probably would have flopped on this side of the Atlantic 20-something years ago. Look him up one day and I'm sure you'll find something lol. Ok you're gonna KILL me on this one but i think Falco should've been replaced by Krystal. Shes more significant to the series and, like I've said before, should have been a no brainer due to her gender. And yeah Ridley's size isn't an argument. Look at Melee's opening movie and you'll see Samus fighting Ridley who seems to be the same size has her if you took away the wings. And hey if they can do Charizard then Ridley was DEFINITELY possible to make. Even a clone woulda sufficed .

Me on the issue, I could care less, we got what we got. I'm sure everyone was fine with the "good" characters put into the roster for the latest in party fighting games. Sure ROB sucks, Olimar sucks, Ridley should of been in the roster, everyone complains. I found the only problem in not keeping some old characters, but thats just me. I'm only happy because Game N' Watch was kept, thank goodness.

The original Smash Bros game for the N64 is coming to the virtual console in Janurary, 10 years after it's original release in Japan.
Only problem is, it'll only be avalible on the VC in Japan. I'm sure the rest of the world will follow; so it'll be added to the VC throughout 2009.

Covering many topics here... ClonesBIG disappointment. Captain Falcon and Ganondorf weren't that bad. If only they'd made Ganon use that sword of his, then we wouldn't be complaining as much. Link & Toon Link also didn't bother me. The Star Fox ones did bother me. SF is my one of my favourite Nintendo franchises (it's also, sadly, incredibly overlooked), so it was bloody annoying when I found out that both unlockables were just clones of Fox. Falco is a clone, but worse. Wolf is apparently better, but I wouldn't know and nor do I care. Why didn't they put Krystal in to add diversity? Smash Bros, as the name kinda implies, lacks females. Krystal would be a great addition as SF fans know she's a capable fighter, and we're guessing she's skilled in hand-to-hand combat considering she has a staff. J.B. King, I totally agree with you on Falco. Plus Assassin, if Krystal were in brawl you'd get to show how much you detest her by destroying her. Although I'd rather scrap Jigglypuff. R.O.BI don't understand why people hate him so much. It's true that without him we wouldn't be playing Brawl. He's a great character who appears to be making some form of comeback (Ice Climbers? Game & Watch? Pit?). The Left-BehindsTo be honest, I'm only annoyed that Roy didn't get back in (assuming it's Fire Emblem's boy). I liked him, even if he was a clone. Plus, if anything, Smash Bros needs more characters. I like Ike OtherI liked the inclusion of third party characters. Really makes Brawl stand out. However, I side with Yahtzee in that they build up loads of hype yet you have to play the game for 10 hours to unlock them. We need playable Robotnik. No Egg-Walker. Just him running around attacking normally. Or maybe AoStH Rrrrobotnik? One can dream...

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm POSITIVE the head guy of Brawl was insistant that there would be new female fighters in said game. Were there any? Nope. Every new female they DID put in was either an assist trophy or a ruddy gimmick. Instead, they simply had the gaul to give one of the old females a brand new alternative form and try to pass THAT off as a new character. Samus is Samus, no matter how you dress her.
I mean, it's not like Nintendo hasn't got any female fighters aside the ones already in the game. The Fire Emblem series have quite a few (the obvious one would be Lyn, as she was the first playable character when the FE series reached the Western world), there's the already mentioned Krystal, Princess Daisy would fit in nicely (I know she's a Peach costume, but it doesn't suit her...she's very much her own princess and her OWN style)...heck, I'd even like to try playing with Kat & Ana from the Warioware series (as an alternative, but not clone, of the Ice Climbers, and because the game needs a ninja). If the MGS and STH universes are to be kept, you've got a few more options, such as Blaze the Cat.

While I do agree with the females issue of the game, and how Krystal should have been in there, I don't agree with Daisy. Shes good enough as a Peach costume. She not significant enough in the Mario series to be playable. Kat & Ana too; AT was good enough for them.
Fire Emblem has enough people. It's not THAT big of a franchise. Ike is the current star of the series and Marth was the 1st, so it's good. And Lyn kicks @$$ as an AT.
If anything, Krystal was the best choice for a female newcomer. A female Pkmn Trainer costume would have been nice as well.
And as for additions tot eh 3rd party roster, it'd be best if they kept it as one character per company. Like SEGA's got Sonic, Konami's got Snake, Capcom could have had Megaman, etc. You see it's not the characters being represented moreso the individual companies being repped. The character's are there to represent them.

To be completely honest, if they made a 4th Smash Bros, I think they should just concentrate on the franchises they already have. They do have quite a few already.

Agreed but it would be nice for them to keep the current series involved and even new ones they make that may be between Brawl and the 4th Smash Brothers. Though Sakurai(He was the head guy) said that he doesn't want to work on another Smash Brother game. But I'm sure Nintendo would find someone else for the series to help make a new game because the series is to popular. But they seriously need a lot of improvements. Brawl wasn't that great.

Well I don't exactly agree with that Kuhn. Brawl was indeed a great game. It took Melee and expanded on it. I think there are a lot of little things about the game that just add up to be annoying (lack of a good online system, the stupid tripping system, weird character choices, precense of clones still, Emissary being reptitive, etc.). But yeah it's definitely a great game for everything it does have. You can't spend 3 years making a sequel to one of Nintendo's biggest titles and say that it's "not that great" lol.

Does anyone own the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros?
I'm looking to unlock an achievement that states it requires 50 hours of gameplay..... which in it self is extortionate as I just don't have that much time to play it.
What it does state is that this amount goes down if you play online with friends, so I was hoping that some members would be willing to play online sometime.
If you need my Friend Code, it's 2337 - 5231 - 6800. Feel free to add me, and PM me your code if you do. Hopefully we can play other games as well!

I have it, but TBH, I don't really play it anymore. It was really just a tide-me-over until the Wii U version came out.

Well, sorry if I double posted, but today is the Super Smash Bros final presentation. I wonder who will be the other DLC characters and stages. I hope Princess Daisy, King K. Rool, Wolf, Snake, Krystal, Inkling, Waluigi, Kritter and Banjo Kazooie become DLC characters. Other than that, for stages, maybe return some Melee stages.
