Here is Mario's own little thread. Feel free to talk it up about the pasta eating plumber.

Ah, it was only a matter of time... I'm pretty sure there isn't a single person who doesn't know that I'm a huge fan of Mario. About 1/3 of my games collection are Mario titles (and some, I even own more than one version of. Yes, I'm that obsessive, LOL), and the likes of Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 rank highly among my all-time faves. Infact, it was Super Mario Bros. on the NES that got me into gaming. Go figure! As for future releases... well, I'm looking forward to Mario & Luigi 3. Really enjoyed the first two games, so hopefully this one will be just as good!

I've played quite a few of the Mario games, including: - The original Mario Bros game on the NES - Super Mario 3 - Super Mario World (when I got the SNES) - Mario Kart Racing - Mario Kart 64

My personal favorite Mario game is really a tie between Super Mario World and SMRPG.

Oh, snap! I can't believe I forgot about Super Mario RPG! That one was my favorite! It was just released on the VC recently, I need to snap it up.

Yesterday I brought Super Mario Galaxy and spent over 2 hours tonight playing it. I find it superbly fantastic but sometimes the controls can be fustrating and the references to the older platforms are superb as well.
I've got
- Super Mario Bros Deluxe (unlocked you vs. Boo and lost levels) - Yoshi's Island - SMB 3 - M&L Superstar Saga - New Super Mario Bros - Super Mario Galaxy

Finally a thread about the world's favorite virtual plumber! Lol anyone who knows me could tell you I'm a Mario fan. Some of my (Xbox loving-) friends used to tease me about that I preferred Mario (albeit all Nintendo's games - which I do) to things like Halo, Call of Duty, and other of the same shooting/fighting games. The N64 was my very first console as was Mario 64 being my first console game. From the day I got it for Christmas '96 my childhood became 50% Mario/50% Thomas lol. Since then I've played pretty much every game he's starred in except a few such as the last few Party games (they got old lol), Mario Paint, the M&L Series, Mario is Missing (doesn't look to good anyway, heard it was a Carmen Sandiego clone Mario-fied), and (omg here come the gasps) Mario RPG. Yes I know it's on VC now but I've got a good 3 reasons for not getting it yet. 1) Too lazy to go out and buy a Wii Points card 2) The d**n memory of my Wii forbids it and I don't wanna go through the trouble of "cleaning out the fridge." 3) It could wait So yeah basically Mario rules and the great Miyamoto rules more for creating him

Galaxy was fun, yes, but I didn't like it as much as Sunshine and SM64.

Sunshine was great, I spent hours in the plaza doing flips off the buildings. Bowser was a let-down, the only problem with the game.

Ah yes Sunshine. If you want my opinion on that game I think it owned almost as much as 64. It was just a different experience because pretty much all the courses were beach/water themed (no doubt to utilize the FLUDD), which many gamers dismissed it for. But Sunshine, if you view it as a stand alone game, is amazing. It's just has a different astmosphere compared to other Mario games.
I also liked it because it added another significant location to the Mushroom World - Isle Delfino. This was the first console Mario game that took place outside the Mushroom Kingdom, and I respect it for that.

Both Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario World took place outside the Mushroom Kingdom - The former being set in SubCon, and the latter being set in Dinosaur Land. Just thought you should know.

Well Subcon was apparently a figment of Mario's imagination but yeah I forgot about the fact that SMB3 had a bunch of different kingdoms lol. But even so, Delfino has stayed since Sunshine and seems to be a permanent location of the Mushroom world.

For those of you who know enough about Mario Kart you know about "Snaking" right? If not look it up. Mario Kart Wii has gained a notorious reputation of having no snaking, but look at this, apparently you can still snake. Just perfect...broken wifi just like DS >.>

Paper Mario and the thousand year door was a challenge, but's it's addicting showing off in front of the audience. The game itself is fun, the Bowser mini-game is another plus, and the story is decent (I'm gettin' tired of rescueing Peach, at least she's the final boss).

I've spent most of yesterday completing Super Mario Galaxy and felt tremendously chuffed that now I can play as Luigi in the game. However I was midly disappointed when I played the Haunted Mansion Galaxy as him because I was expecting an alternate level to appear but instead found out that he had an alternate 'twin' hiding behind the gratings.

I enjoyed playing the Super Mario Bros 2: 6 Golden Coins (from the original GameBoy system), & my grandma lets me keeps it, right before she died in 2004. Then I suddenly lost it, then in 2008 my mom ordered the gameboy game for me for Xmas & I was so happy to play it again!
Though before I got the second one again I got the original Super Mario Bros. gameboy game during the late summer, & I thought it was ok, but good thing I beat the game twice. But the 2nd one I beat it about more than 20 times because it was the easy game from 1992 & it was no wonder considered a classic, so I loved it so much.

Hey, I have a really dumb question. Is Mario Galaxy worth money? I love 64, and Sunshine was okay, but I still haven't gotten all 120 Shines yet (!@#%ing Blue Coins!). I originally didn't like Galaxy, mainly because It's, as a friend describes it "The death of the Power-up" because he claims all the Power-ups are entirely situational. Not only that, I really don't like the wimpy little spin attack. Why isn't Mario jumping on or punching stuff? Also, is that little pointer you use to pick up starbits as annoying as it looks? Finally, what turned me off it was the fact that the worlds are all just a bunch of different separated platforms instead of roamable 3-d environments. Is it really worth the buy? What I do like about it is, the music is quite cool, the Fire Flower returns (But it having a time limit instead of losing it when you get hit is bogus) and Finally LUIGI IS PLAYABLE IN A 3-D MARIO GAME THAT"S NOT A SPINOFF OR REMAKE!! So, is it worth it?
