Apparantly, the REAL reason Thomas is going CGI is because one of the old model makers messed with Thomas's model and destroyed it beyond recognition. When questioned about it, he claimed he'd seen a video on YouTube claiming that Thomas had OVER NINE THOUSAND wheels. Unfortunatly, that wasn't the main problem, nor was it the only thing he tried to add.

I heard Thomas was going to be cancelled next week. The source I got it from was totally reliable, yeah, but don't look for it or anything because it's triple-super-ultra secret, okay?

I also heard that he'll be a 20-story tall Galactus rip-off who hungers for Hersheys. Mames Bames Dames James will also be popping up. In Series 52, the diesels will experience despite.

For Immediate Release
HIT ENTERTAINMENT TACKLES GLOBAL WARMING
Thomas and Friends do their part to reduce Carbon Footprint
New York, London, UK -- 19 August, 2008 -- HIT Entertainment PLC is taking a proactive role in reducing global greenhouse gases by educating future policy-makers through a lessons-learned approach via Thomas and Friends.
Recenty-promoted series Producer Stu Pidassol explains: "We are cognisant of the fact that diesel emissions are a major contributor to greenhouse gases. That being said, steam engines are just as guilty, but have so far managed to slip under the radar of global warming researchers. We are pleased to announce that this is no longer the case and that HiT Entertainment is taking measures to combat global warming."
"Beginning with Series 13, all of the series' steam and diesel characters will be retired to the Sodor Railway Museum, where they will play a passive role. Their faces and mouths will still move, so three-year-olds will not notice the lack of action. The storylines have been altered to convey the following message to children - Global Warming is bad. Diesel Engines are bad. Steam Engines are bad."
In the series' planned opening episode scheduled for September 2009, the Island of Sodor is suffering through an unprecedented prolonged heat-wave and smog advisory which kills Henry's special forest along with his Wishing Tree. Henry is absolutely devastated. He convinces Thomas, Percy, Toby, Gordon and Diesel that their emissions have been harming the environment all of these years and that the future is bleak if they don't act now.
Adds Pidassol, "They volunteer to retire en masse to do their part, and to make way for more environmentally-friendly electric engines. The remaining characters all follow suit. The railway museum setting with the engines as static displays reinforces that message. These toddlers who follow the series will in turn grow up to be environmentally responsible citizens, policy makers and politicians."
In real life, HiT has also tackled Global Warming head-on by aggressively limiting Day Out With Thomas (DOWT) events. "We're doing our part, and it's time for them (preservation railways) to do theirs. We'd rather that clientele instead visit our green-friendly licensed Thomas Land theme park at Drayton Manor". So quipped Pidassol as he puffed on one of the Fat Controller's fine Cuban cigars.
